Culture is Headed for Collapse When It Reverses the Values that Made It Healthy
You are doomed! You call evil good and call good evil. You turn darkness into light and light into darkness. You make what is bitter sweet, and what is sweet you make bitter.
God stands up to open heaven’s court. He pronounces judgment on the judges. How long will you judges refuse to listen to the evidence? How long will you shower special favors on the wicked? Give fair judgment to the poor man, the afflicted, the fatherless, the destitute. Rescue the poor and helpless from the grasp of evil men. But you are so foolish and so ignorant! Because you are in darkness, all the foundations of society are shaken to the core.

Daniel was 15 When His World was Rocked
During the third year of King Jehoiakim’s reign in Judah, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. The Lord gave him victory over King Jehoiakim of Judah and permitted him to take some of the sacred objects from the Temple of God. So Nebuchadnezzar took them back to the land of Babylonia and placed them in the treasure-house of his god. Then the king ordered Ashpenaz, his chief of staff, to bring to the palace some of the young men of Judah’s royal family and other noble families, who had been brought to Babylon as captives. “Select only strong, healthy, and good-looking young men,” he said. “Make sure they are well versed in every branch of learning, are gifted with knowledge and good judgment, and are suited to serve in the royal palace. Train these young men in the language and literature of Babylon.” The king assigned them a daily ration of food and wine from his own kitchens. They were to be trained for three years, and then they would enter the royal service. Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah were four of the young men chosen, all from the tribe of Judah. The chief of staff renamed them with these Babylonian names: Daniel was called Belteshazzar. Hananiah was called Shadrach. Mishael was called Meshach. Azariah was called Abednego.

I. DON’T BE SURPRISED BY ADVERSITY.
Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you.
I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.”

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Sometimes God Rocks My World to EXAMINE me.
Sometimes God Rocks My World to EXAMINE me.
Only the Lord knows! He searches all hearts and examines deepest motives so he can give to each person his right reward, according to his deeds—how he has lived.
Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands.
Question to Ask: What Does this Problem Reveal about Me?
Question to Ask: What Does this Problem Reveal about Me?
Sometimes God Rocks My World to CORRECT Me.
Sometimes God Rocks My World to CORRECT Me.
God corrects all of his children, and if he doesn’t correct you, then you don’t really belong to him. Our earthly fathers correct us, and we still respect them. Isn’t it even better to be given true life by letting our spiritual Father correct us? Our human fathers correct us for a short time, and they do it as they think best. But God corrects us for our own good, because he wants us to be holy, as he is. It is never fun to be corrected. In fact, at the time it is always painful. But if we learn to obey by being corrected, we will do right and live at peace.
When he spoke from Mount Sinai his voice shook the earth, but, “Next time,” he says, “I will not only shake the earth but the heavens too.” By this he means that he will sift out everything without solid foundations so that only unshakable things will be left.
Consider yourself fortunate if God All-Powerful chooses to correct you.

3. Sometimes God Rocks My world to DIRECT Me
3. Sometimes God Rocks My world to DIRECT Me
A person may plan his own journey, but the Lord directs his steps.
Sometimes it takes a painful experience to make us change our ways.
I have thought about my life, and I have directed my feet back to your written instructions.

4. Sometime God Rocks My World to PROTECT Me.
“God is leading you away from danger, Job, to a place free from distress. He is setting your table with the best food.
You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.

5. Sometimes God Rock My World to PERFECT Me.
5. Sometimes God Rock My World to PERFECT Me.
But after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who calls you to share his eternal glory in union with Christ, will himself perfect you and give you firmness, strength, and a sure foundation.
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us—they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady.
Question: How can I Grow From This Problem?
III. TRUST GOD FOR WHAT I DON’T UNDERSTAND
The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
