I. Avoid the Wrong Advice
I. Avoid the Wrong Advice
1 Blessed is the man That walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
10 My son, if sinners entice thee, Consent thou not.
11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, Let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; And whole, as those that go down into the pit:
13 We shall find all precious substance, We shall fill our houses with spoil:
14 Cast in thy lot among us; Let us all have one purse:
15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; Refrain thy foot from their path:
5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; And a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: But he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

II. Avoid the Wrong Associations
1 Blessed is the man That walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, And go not in the way of evil men.
15 Avoid it, pass not by it, Turn from it, and pass away.
1 Be not thou envious against evil men, Neither desire to be with them.
2 For their heart studieth destruction, And their lips talk of mischief.
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

29 Judgments are prepared for scorners, And stripes for the back of fools.
1 A wise son heareth his father’s instruction: But a scorner heareth not rebuke.
Proverbs 22:
10 Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; Yea, strife and reproach shall cease.
