Is God Speaking to You?

Eph 4:1

When was the Last time someone urged you to do something?

Did you listen even though they were giving wise advice?

God’s mercy saved you, he could have left you to die with no hope but instead he gave you a way out.

Specifically it designates that quality in God by which he faithfully keeps his promises and maintains his covenant relationship with his chosen people despite their unworthiness and unfaithfulness

Eph 5:17

Paul is also urging us to not just hear but understand what God wants from you as a servant.

Hearing God When He Speaks.

(Living) Sense to devote to god (sacrifice) set ones self aside for God.

Obeying God’s Will

Matt 7:21

This is what is ment when Paul says “Holy and pleasing to God.”

Everything in our lives that is done in obedience to God is an act of worship.

Eph 6

This is the reason Paul urges us to continue to offer ourselves to God Daily not just in our prayers and devotional time but all the time.

Knowing God’s will for His people is simple it’s spelled out in the Gospel.

2 Peter 3:9

But knowing the will of God for yourself requires time with Him in steady solitude.

Paul tells us in verse 2 to be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

There is only one way for that to happen and that is to spend time in careful study of the word.

But Pastor what of Prayer?

When you get into studying of scripture and I mean careful study, the Lord will begin to speak to you and you will begin a time of natural prayer.

Are you beginning to see how important meditation is?

There is only one way to do god’s will and that is to understand not only his plan for humanity but also His plan for us in His overall plan.

Sacrifice Means Radical Change.

Ro 12:

Once you understand what God has for you to do now is the time to Change.

It’s not merely good enough to know God’s will but now you must act on it.

It’s time to leave the world behind, we may be disturbed by events that are happening but we must realize that this is no surprise to God he expects these things to happen.

Our mission is to bring God’s word to those who have not been exposed to the good news and explain to them there is a better way; that way is through the saving blood of christ given to us by a loving and merciful Father in Heaven.
