Introduction

A. Every Believer Is Pregnant With Purpose!

Luke 1:28 NKJV
And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”

1. You Are Pregnant With God’s Purpose For Your Life!

a. Purpose is the “engine” that drives our actions in life.

Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

b. God created all of us with a purpose before our birth.

1 Corinthians 12:6–7 NKJV
And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

c. God has given each of us a ministry!

2 Corinthians 5:18 NKJV
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,

2. Purpose And Divine Destiny Walk Hand-In-Hand!

a. Purpose is always revealed in a divine manner.

Angelic Announcements, Dreams, Parents.

b. Purpose is always greater than the individual linked to it!

Wedding of Cana
John 2:3–5 NKJV
And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.” Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

c. God’s favor and God’s presence– fertile ground for God’s Purpose!

d. Purpose affects destiny.

1. We must walk in our purpose to achieve our destiny.
2. Mary’s purpose was to bear the Christ child and to be the mother of Jesus. But her purpose led her to her destiny, which was to stand at the foot of the cross to watch her only son to die.
3. Jesus’ purpose was to be our only acceptable sacrifice and ransom for the sins of all humankind. But His purpose led Him to his destiny, which was to die on a rugged cross to reconcile God to man.

B. Prospects Of The Pregnancy

Luke 1:31 NKJV
And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.
Luke 1:34 NKJV
Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”

1. Points of the Pregnancy

a. Means Of Impregnation

b. Mary was told the Holy Ghost would come upon her.

c. Also, she was told that the “power of the highest” (GOD HIMSELF) would overshadow her!

d. The likeness of this text is Genesis 1:2

Genesis 1:2 NKJV
The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

2. Destiny Is Not Determined By Present Circumstances!

a. “How shall this be?” is always a view turned towards the circumstances. It is essentially looking at the facts rather than faith.

b. Circumstances never reveal the true possibilities of purpose.

1. Winston Churchill didn’t look like a Prime Minister when he had, not 1 but 2 nervous breakdowns.
2. Nelson Mandela did not look like the President of South Africa while he was in a jail cell.
3. David did not look like the King of Isreal while he was looking after his father’s sheep.
d. Jesus did not look like the Savior of the world while he was lying in a manger.

3. Mary’s Answer Is Based On “I.” The Angel’s Answer is Based on “The Holy Ghost!”

a. To understand what God is going to do, we must stop looking at ourselves.

b. The Holy Ghost is mandatory for impregnation. Without Him, there can be no birth.

C. The Possibility Of The Impossible

Luke 1:37 NKJV
For with God nothing will be impossible.”

1. The Impossible With Man Is Possible With God.

a. God does what man cannot do.

b. Where ever God guides, He provides!

c. Man says no but God says YES!

2. Others Around You Are Witnesses That God Has Done Great Things

a. Your cousin is already pregnant with my purpose!

b. God has done and can do the impossible for us.

c. He never fails at His Word!!!
