Of my life and in and it made me realize in the midst of my darkest times in the midst of my challenging times that God was loving me then even when I didn't feel I didn't didn't recognize and he kept bringing me through trials and tribulations and circumstances. So when I hear that song, I'm reminded of even as a little boy when people said crazy things to me, you know that he love me. And I and I will share this with you today. No matter what you're going through know that God loves you. Know that God loves you a man and knowing that we can we can operate differently we can think differently we can we can have a peace that surpasses all understanding any man because in this crazy world with all of the mess that's going on with all the challenges that we have individually collectively. It's good to know through the storms through the Rings through the Torrance. Do you know that God loves us and all we got to do is reach out and hold on to his unchanging hand and he'll bring you through a man. Come on y'all give God a hand phrase if you know that he loves you.

They won't be the same so Holy Spirit do what you do affecting change their lives plant the word in the water some of the seed that's already in the Lord and let it grow. We thank you. We give him a minute to make their transition and as we do that, I want you to get ready for the word of God today man. The title of this message is giving God first place first place first place a first place. first place are foundational scriptures going to come from 1st Corinthians chapter 9 verse 25, so if you would stand and If you'd stand and let's read that together 1st Corinthians chapter 9 verse 25 if you have it in your Bible and its if you don't have your Bible it's up on the screen. We're going to read it from the new King James translation and the and the scripture 1st Corinthians chapter 9 verse 25 less sweet that together and everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now, they do it to obtain a perishable Crown but we've for an imperishable Crown our confession of faith. If you would read this after me I am not move. By what I see. or by what I feel I am move. By what I believe. I believe the word of God. The victory is mine. I have it now. I can see it through the eyes of my faith. In Jesus name amen. You may be seated in the presence of the Lord.

First place first place first place. Tell your neighbor first place So first place is typically a focus kind of ambition of all who compete? All right. Everybody wants to be in first place. Whether you are an individual or it's a team everybody is looking to be in first place. We we say first place by the the best score or the fastest. I'm so first place is always given to the one who achieved the privileged distinction of being number one there at the top first place say first place. Now it's interesting in most situations. We work to be in first place. We want to be in first place, but there is one situation in in one area that first place then belong to us.

This is that exception. And that exception is when we give our lives to Christ then instead of us being in first place. We have to put God in first place.

Instead of us doing everything that we want to do it where it's all about you or it's all about me. It's all about what I want to do is all about who I am and where I'm going and who I know I have to take second place. To God because God has to be first place in our like 30 neighbor say first place.

We have to give God first place in our lives and that time started at the beginning when we gave our life to Christ and he gave us salvation. That began to shift from me moving to be in first place in my life to God being in first place in my life. They first place. Now the challenge is doing when we accepted Christ. It was real easy on that day or during that time forgot to be in first place but challenges on going. to keep God in first place the challenges every day when you wake up to make sure that God is first place in your life. Not you not your money. Not your power. Not your position not who you know, but God being in first place in your life. Say first place. First place in my life and this is something that we have to work on daily forgot to be in first place in our life because it's so easy for us to usurp that position and take on first place in our lives.

It's so easy for us to go back to doing what we like to do and how we want to do it at when we want to do it in operating in our distinction because we got money and we got power. We got Fame and we got position but God is in is not in first place when you're in first place.

So you have to understand it is work everyday to put God in first place in your life say first place.

It's hard. I know when the world is telling you it's all about you you do you you have it your way, but God is not calling us to do you he's calling us to be submissive to him. amen So here's what I know and I want you to write this down in your notes. God has given you first place in his heart. God has given you first place in his heart. So it's hard when we think about. If somebody came to you and said, you know what?

God damn look at you as if your Center it's hard for us to Fathom that snowing the mistakes that we make doing the things that we fall short on that God looks at us and he does not see a sinner.

Because so much of what the devil is telling us and what the world is telling us is that we falling short we missed the month. We keep making mistakes. And so yes, I am a sinner but God says no, I don't see that. He's taking you and put you first place in his heart. He loves you so much that he doesn't see what the world sees. He doesn't see what the devil is trying to tell you. He only sees you through Jesus Christ.

And because he loves you so much because he cares about you so much. He's put you first place in your in his heart. He does not see you as a sinner. The biggest transformation we have to make in our minds as Believers as those who are followers of Christ is that we are no longer viewed by God as sinners.

Jesus already paid the price for that.

Beginning when he went on the cross at Calvary when Jesus went on the cross at Calvary. He begin the Redemptive Works to put us in a position with God never ceases us as sinners. No matter what you try to do. No matter how bad you try to be. God is still going to have a place in his heart for you and he's going to love you unconditionally.

No matter how we try to make it up in in and do whatever we want to do. However we want to do God is going to still call us child.

You still going to look at us with the eyes of love with the eyes of Faith with the eyes of Justice because he loves us.

Yeah, he saw what you did in the corner in the booth in the back in the dark.

Who knows what thoughts are going through your mind?

That don't honor him.

He knows how you plug it in and try to do whatever you wanted to do. And then sometimes he allows us to do that.

He knows how hard it is for us to continually put him number one in our lives cuz there's so much of us. Our selfishness are self-centeredness. There's so much of what we want to do in this life that we don't have time for guy, but he still loves us. Oh How He Loves Us Oh how Jesus loves us. We are his are we are his abundance. We are his friend the Bible says in 1st Peter chapter 2 verse 9 and says, but you are a chosen generation.

You are a royal priesthood. You are a holy nation his own special people that you may proclaim the Praises of him who called you out of Darkness Into His Marvelous Light say you are a chosen generation. you are a royal priesthood you are a holy nation and you are his special people. No. God cares about us so much that he called this generation today. No matter where you at and what you doing, he called you as his child. He's calling you to be a priest. He's calling you to be a holy nation. He's calling us because he loves us. So there is a work that we have to do. There's a responsibility we have for this love.

But he's called you and no matter how many times we slip and fall. He's calling us to get back up because he loves us.

The challenge we have to come to in the Grinch we have to come to is that God loves me. I'm not perfect. I will. Perfect. Not until I see him face-to-face with right now. He still love me and I can operate in that Dimension that God loves me and I can open up my mouth and give him praise.

He said he's calling his own special people that we may Proclaim. That means open up your mouth. That means tell somebody the Praises of him who called you out of Darkness into his marvelous life. He has no desire for us to stay in those places that keep us away from him because he loves us. He has no desire for us to be down at the bottom. He wants us at the top because we are a royal priesthood. He's calling us to a place in the purpose in him so that we can Proclaim how good he's been to us how he pulled this out of that mess we got ourselves is how we changed our lives when people dog that's when we trust in them and then they say let him down they miss use that your abuse. He pulled us out of that Darkness Into The Marvelous Light a place of Peace a place of Joy. He loves us. I like the message translation 1st Peter chapter 2 verse 19 says, but you are the ones chosen by God. Chosen for the High Calling of a Priestly work chosen to be a holy people God's instruments that stop right there. You are an instrument of God. So you represent God? Everything you say everything you do wherever you go, when and if you don't want to do you are an instrument of God, you're not just an instrument when you come to worship service your is coming in your home your instrument on your job your instrument and Community everywhere you go. You're an instrument of God because he's chosen you. I don't know if you know what it feels like to not be chosen. I share this story before where you know, when you when I was little I was even up after your child a man.

little So you get paid for teens and so you there captains and then they look at the outside of you and they say all he must not be fast enough or he must know it's so your left on the sidelines. Amen. But not with God. You look down the he looked on the inside. He said that got my pastor my preacher right there that there you go. Yeah, I don't see it. He's going to have to go through some things. Amen. He's going to have to make some decisions. But it when it all said and done I got nowhere. I'm calling him to amen. And so when God chooses you that's an honor right there, but he's choosing you do is work in the speak out for him to tell others of the night and day difference that he's made in you. Say first place. And Isaiah chapter 43 Verse 20. Let me tell you how much God loves us. Let me tell you looking what the text says. I'm starting with verse 26 the Beast of the field honor me the jackals and the ostriches here's why.

Because I give water in the wilderness and rivers in the desert to give drink to my people. My chosen for 21 says this people I have formed for myself. They shall declare my praise because God loves you folks around you going to be brushed blessed because God loves you. I got we got a little dog at home trend. She bless. Amen. Because God loves you because you're chosen because God has picked you out amongst all he wants all of us, but he's definitely picked us out to do his work people around you and be blessed. He said it's so much. So the jackals and the ostriches will have water because I'm going to take care of those that I've chosen a man. So don't understand how God sees us begins with how we see him. And so my question to you is how do you see God? God is not watching from a distance. Just waiting for us to make a mistake in order to punish us. SeaWorld would want us to think that God is sitting up in heaven looking for us to make a mistake so he can say oh sickness. That's not it.

God is doing that's the furthest from the truth.

I'm waiting up wait to punish you. Can we have the stuff that God is some mean person who doesn't want us to have fun and doesn't want us to do anything. But yet he loves us that doesn't make any sense.

He's not sitting there waiting to point out your every small your every mistake. He doesn't do that because he loves us.

It's how we view him. So the question you have to ask yourself is how do I view God knowing that God has a special place in his heart for me.

Looking John chapter 12. I mean John chapter 1 verse 12 it says but to as many as did receive and welcome him. How do you view them? Have you received them? Do you welcome him? See, that's the start right there. Some of us we kind of playing this game like yes, I'm safe. But really it's all about me. Yes, I go to church but it's all about me. God does not. Have you do not you do not have God first place in your life. You have you as first place in your life you got he says but you as many as did receiving Walker him he gave the authorities the power the privilege and the right to become the children of God. So do you see yourself as a child of God? No, seriously, not just intellectually, but do you see yourself as a child of God? No, not a church core. a child of God No, not a leader in the community child of God. How do you see yourself in relationship to God because how you see yourself in relationship to God is going to be how you see him.

He said if you receive and welcome him, he's going to give you the power of privilege in the right to become a child of God. That's to those who believe now believe me. You got out of here to a trusted and rely on his name. You can't do it on Sunday and be everything else on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Come on. Now. Do I have any Witnesses here? That stuff is so confusing you doing everything else in the world Monday through Saturday and yet you want to come in here and say you a child of God wait. He still loves you. But that speaks highly in volumes of what you think of him. Hey, man, can I keep this thing real? He says in verse 13 WHO older birth needed to blood nor to the wheel of The Flash that a physical impulse nor to the will of man that have natural of a natural father. But to God that means you have been born of God.

I'm not talking about what Mom and Daddy did. I'm not talking about the hookup. We're talking about being born of God, Amen. Here's a big challenge. God sees us as his precious children out. Check this out. For those of you who are parents. For those of you who have kids.

If you look at your child, you consider that child something precious. When you look at your children, they are important to you. You don't want any hurt. You don't want any harm. You don't want any changes to come to your children. That's how God looks at us. We are precious to him then matter if you are hundred or one God still considers us his children and he will take care of us. Just like a good parent will take

So you're precious to him and then as a child your children rely on you they depend on you. If you say something they believe it the same way it is with God. When he says something to his children, he's not saying that to hurt you or to make you feel bad. He sending because he loves you and he wants the best for you just like a natural father for do or mother for their children. So how is it that we can take care of our children? But not allow God to take care of us. How is it that all of a sudden we have to use Serve God when we are children of God and not allow God to be the father in our life.

Yes, we do the things for our children we protect our children don't you think our heavenly father wants to protect you?

He's telling us that we're his precious children now.

It's a challenge I get it. on this side of Heaven not all people were called to be parents. We can father children or mother chilled her birth children. what to parent a child Take some anointing.

God is giving us that example. He sent his only son. to die for us to pay a penalty so that he could be an intimate relationship now, that's love.

That's love right there. You would do or many of you would do the same thing for your children. I've heard it said many times don't mess with my children. A man's don't touch my kids.

For my kids amen. Don't you think God would do the same thing for his children? He loves us but we have to put him in first place in our lives. Look at the Bible. The Bible says in Hebrews chapter 11 verse 6 it says but without face Hear me without faith and we've been talking about this spiritual gift called Faith. He says without the spaces impossible to please him for he who comes to God must believe that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. You know, what's interesting. I was a foster parent. for many years in the saddest The biggest challenge about kids are resilient. Stuff happens and they have no control over. But the challenge is this when a child is looking for their parent. Because they've been separate. I remember having and I can only do young men because the house is only set up for four young men. And I remember young man. This one kid Cashton. I want to get back to my mama. Can you imagine what it feels like to be separated from your parents and your heart's desires the wannabe there with them?

Can you imagine a mom or dad who has been separated from their child and all their hearts desires to want to be with them? That's how it is with god with his children. But we keep separating ourselves from him. We keep doing the things that prevent him from having intimate relationship with us and yet he has the love us from a distance.

But he still loves us and all he's asking us to do is to just seek him find him. He's here right now with some of us. He's right in the in your face if you just open up your eyes. You got to have faith. He says it's impossible to please him for he who comes to God must believe that he is God and that he is a rewarder of them who diligently seek him. If we have faith, he's going to be number one in our life.

Now here's something else. I want to share with you. God sees each of us in a profoundly different way than most of us see ourselves.

Understanding how God sees each one of us is based on the work that Jesus Christ beginning Our Lives the moment. We receive salvation. What the Bible says in 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 verse 17 and says therefore if anyone is in Christ. He is a new creation old things are passed away behold. All things have become new you are new all the other stuff that you keep trying to pull into your future. You need to believe in your past. And when other people try to bring that stuff in your past into your future, you have to tell him I'm buying the net cuz that was in the past. Because I'm on a mission to have intimate relationship with my father. I know you can't bring the stuff that I used to do into my future because my future is focused on having a relationship with my father. Does that make sense?

In 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 in the message translation it says how you ask in Christ. Check this out. God put the wrong on him who never did anything wrong so we could be put right with God.

Is that make sense? He loves us. If we will put him in first place than in our life. Amen.

So this new relationship this new creation is based on God's Divine work. It's a complete transformation of our spiritual condition. And in a person's the biggest challenge a lot of us have is we trying to show everybody on the outside that we've been changed. Which I'm sure everybody that we saved on the outside. I'll look the part. I'll act the part on walk the part. I'll talk to par but on the inside hasn't been changed. God is trying to change the inside.

See we too busy trying to look the part on the outside. without allowing your father to speaking to the inside you when he speaks into the inside as a good parent will Then that changes on the inside and what's what happens on the outside as a result of what's going on on the inside? Do you view you can only fake it so long if you're doing it from the outside and you can only fake it for so long and then you have to say I don't know what to do next, but when it's happening on the inside is real. What is going on inside it's real and can't nobody changes you what I always tell people it's what's on the inside is going to come out and then you can't hide it I can think the outside but the real me is on the inside and if I love the Lord and these first place in my life, that's what's going to come out. You can play all the little religious games you want to go to all the scripture that you want to be in every conference and everything that you want to but if it is not on the inside.

You can only fake it for so long. See here's what I tell somebody you can't force somebody to love you. It has to be on the inside. You can't buy people. That's why God did one thing he pay-one-price son, Jesus Christ, and he said well, I'm here if you want me. Not going to force you to love me not going to force you to be in a relationship with me, but I'm here if you want me but know this. I love you. Does that make sense?

He says this new creation is a complete transformation in our spiritual condition and then our Inner Man. He has completely forgiven. Check this out get this for those of you who are wondering. About stuff you've done. God has forgiven.

Look at the text go to Psalm 103. First well, the Bible says as far as the East is from the West so far has he removed our transgressions from us? quit tearing around stuff that he's in already forgiven you for See part of the reason why we can't have intimate relationship with my father is we still can around stuff that he's an already forgave us for. We can turn back and we can weights and stuff that we're bringing into this relationship. And this is why I tell people who are in relationship.

And this is for somebody here. If you are in a relationship, that's dead Let It Go, grieve it give it to God and let God change you on the inside so he can prepare you for a healthy relationship.

I don't know who that's for. In the New Living Translation the same verse verse 12 Psalm 103. He says he has removed our sins as far from us as the East is from the West.

Say God wants first place in your heart.

God wants first place in your heart.

If he's in first place your money can't be in first place.

Your pride cannot be in first place. Your business. Can I be in first place your children cannot be in first place your husband your wife. Can I be in first place? If God is in first place? Because he has put us in first place in his heart. Now what kind of relationship would that be if somebody loves if you love somebody and they don't love you? Not much of a relationship is it? You know, somebody loves you when they're first place in your heart.

There's a problem most of everything. Our self-worth is based on our wealth or how how we done got up the corporate ladder or how successful are businesses or even who we know that's how we identify our work. The problem is our view of what significant or what it's worth is established by nose thing and we only feel good about ourselves when we were flourishing in those areas when I wealth is good when I health is good when everything is good, but let that stuff diminish. And then we find ourselves. not on a solid foundation

old but when you have a great relationship with God It don't matter how much money you have or how little you have? Cuz you still love God and God still loves you. It doesn't matter what your health status is or not because you still love God and God loves you. It doesn't matter who you knowing where you been and what you doing? Because if that's all gone. I still have God and God loves me and I love him. I always tell you I was in Nevada and we were talking with my wife's brother-in-law who got to church and I was talking to his wife and I said when it's all said and done there's God first and then that's me and my wife. Cuz you know what you're going to grow up and they going to have their own families. So those of you were holding on to your children let him go. Hey man, your health will y'all know a man your money? Yeah, I know but when you have God. You have everything you need a man. That's another freebie for somebody.

Look at Luke chapter 6 verse 49. I'm almost done. Here's a challenge. When you have anything when you set your life up on anything other than your relationship with Jesus Christ. You got a shaky Foundation. It says but in versus 49ers says but anyone who hears and doesn't know bands like a person who builds a house right on the ground without a foundation for a living in it.

Since when the flood sweep, and we know living on this side of Heaven stuff is going to happen. When the flood sweep down against the house and will collapse into a heap of ruins. We all know that when we try to build our lives on money when we try to build our lives on people we try to bit and they leave us in the money is everything is down the drain. You been there? Right. Oh my corporate job, you know my my career, you know, I'm doing this let them fire you. Or lay you off. Yorkshire Health goes in a different direction and you can't do what you used to do. But when you have Jesus you have a solid foundation. So no matter how it's raining no matter what the storm is. You can rest assure that God is going to get you through it cuz you know what your money can't get you through everything. a man

Here's what I said my identity your identity or identity. It's only a solid as the foundation we place it on. So what have you placed your identity on? Who are you? Are you a child of God?

Is that real for you

What is it that you're holding onto or standing on thinking? It's going to get you through everything. You need to get through. Is it Christ?

Because if it's not my challenge to you is to put all that other stuff aside and make Jesus your solid foundation. Not Justin work not just an intellect, but I'm talking about your life. Say first place. See when Christ is our foundation are some stability is like what it says in Luke chapter 6 verse 48. It's like a man building a house who dug deep and laid the foundation on the Rock and when the flood of the stream bvmma against the house and could not check it for it was founded on the rock.

When the finances are gone. You never built it on that. When the fame and fortune is gone, you never built it on that when the people who you thought were your friends are gone. You never built it on that you always had to do on Jesus Christ the solid foundation. So yeah life will come and it'll rock you but it won't break you a man. It'll talk to you it may even have you lean over that far. But if I could I would go all the way down that would mean I had to do some yoga classes, and I'm not there yet. But can you imagine your life where things are just hitting you stuff all over and you're just rocking like this, but you keep calling on the name of the Lord Jesus. I know you going to get me through this God. I still believe in you God. I praise your name in the midst of the storm God. I lift you up God you are king of kings and Lord of lords God. I'm your child in your words says this is who I am. If you keep calling on the name of the Lord, you know, what he did he put you in this role role Road.

Taking always tell folks when they built their when their foundation on something material cuz as soon as that stuff is snatched out from under them then they want to come to me and say pray for me. But before that happened you couldn't tell him anything. Hey, man.

Say first place.

Look it up Matthew chapter 6 and I'm a wrap it up here. Amen. Matthew chapter 6 verse 25 when God is in first place in your life. He says I say to you do not worry about your life. What you eat? What's your drink? about your body what you put on? Is this is not life more than food and the body more than clothing verse 26. He says look at the birds of the air. Or they need a soul Norwegian or gathering to Barnes yet. Your heavenly father feeds them. And here's the question are you not of more value? And they

When God is in first place in your life first place in your life.

His word says that he will take care of.

His word says that he will give you exceedingly abundantly more than you can think or imagine. His word says He will heal you. His word says He will set you free. His word says you will be with him for eternity. Is God first place in your life?

If he is give him a big hand of praise.

Mercedes and then we going to go to our next steps change. is difficult Sometimes we have to unlearn some things so that we can learn things, correct.

Change is difficult. But if you want God to be first place in your life. You must change.

You must make him the center of everything you. And that's going to require some of us to change. But know that if you do it for God God got your back. Amen. So as everybody knows when you come to worship service, I don't believe in you just hearing the word, but I believe in you doing the word. So here's my challenge read one proverb each day. How I'm going to do that read one proverb each day a man. Identify a situation where you will operate in faith a man. Find two scriptures that speak to that situation get involved with the ministry of project here at UCF. And when we start growth groups get involved with a growth group. And then also if you think this is beneficial for you invite someone to Sunday worship service. Amen. Amen. Alright, give God a big hand up race.

Let the Church Say Amen what does a wonderful message to know that God love you? It doesn't matter what you go through but you know that he loves you. He died on the cross for you.
