Covenant Chapter

Daniel 6:1–2 AMP
IT PLEASED [King] Darius [successor to Belshazzar] to set over the kingdom 120 satraps who should be [in charge] throughout all the kingdom, And over them three presidents—of whom Daniel was one—that these satraps might give account to them and that the king should have no loss or damage.
Daniel 6:3–5 AMP
Then this Daniel was distinguished above the presidents and the satraps because an excellent spirit was in him, and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. Then the presidents and satraps sought to find occasion [to bring accusation] against Daniel concerning the kingdom, but they could find no occasion or fault, for he was faithful, nor was there any error or fault found in him. Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion [to bring accusation] against this Daniel except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.
Daniel 6:7–9 AMP
All the presidents of the kingdom, the deputies and the satraps, the counselors and the governors, have consulted and agreed that the king should establish a royal statute and make a firm decree that whoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for thirty days, except of you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions. Now, O king, establish the decree and sign the writing that it may not be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be altered. So King Darius signed the writing and the decree.
Daniel 6:10–11 AMP
Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house, and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he got down upon his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously. Then these men came thronging [by agreement] and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.
Daniel 6:13–16 AMP
Then they said before the king, That Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, does not regard or pay any attention to you, O king, or to the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day. Then the king, when he heard these words, was much distressed [over what he had done] and set his mind on Daniel to deliver him; and he labored until the sun went down to rescue him. Then these same men came thronging [by agreement] to the king and said, Know, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians that no decree or statute which the king establishes may be changed or repealed. Then the king commanded, and Daniel was brought and cast into the den of lions. The king said to Daniel, May your God, Whom you are serving continually, deliver you!
Because of who you are and who you represent you should keep in mind that always your an example…
Over-Coming With Excellence
Walk With Me In Daniels life:

The Darius of this story may have been Darius I, who ruled over the Persian Empire from 522 to 486 B.C.

he appointed a high officer to rule over each province. 2 The king also chose Daniel and two others as administrators to supervise the high officers and protect the king’s interests. 3 Daniel soon proved himself more capable than all the other administrators and high officers. Because of Daniel’s great ability, the king made plans to place him over the entire empire.

NLT: Describes His Excellent Spirt as a great ability...
Message version: brimming with spirit and intelligence, so completely outclassed the other vice-regents
Complete jewish: extraordinary spirit
Because of Daniels God given spirit the other presidents or vice-regents or administrators and high officers began searching for some fault in the way Daniel was handling government affairs, but they couldn’t find anything to criticize or condemn.

He was faithful, always responsible, and completely trustworthy. 5 So they concluded, “Our only chance of finding grounds for accusing Daniel will be in connection with the rules of his religion.”

So they manipulated the King
No one can pray to their God for 30 days…and if they do they will be thrown in the lions den.

10 But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.

So Watch how he overcomes in Excellence....
Daniel had the ear of the king, he could have simply gone to him and revealed how the other presidents didn’t include him, But he didn’t.
He prayed like he usually does.
people that pray often talk & complain less....
praying people develop self control and learn how not to speak unless God has told them too.
real power is being able to keep your mouth shut, while your enemies are running theirs. temperance: (self restraint) gentleness: meekness,” does not mean weakness. Rather, it involves humility and thankfulness toward God, and polite, restrained behavior)
When They Caught him praying and asking God for help, They went to the King, the King was troubled because at that point he realized he had been dupped by those presidents.. But because of the decree The King gave the orders to arrest him and throw him into the lions den.
Notice Daniel hasn’t tried to defend himself (sounds like the spirit of Christ)
Isaiah 53:7 AV
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
ii. After all why should he have to defend himself, he is a prayer warrior and His God fights for him.
If i could use my imagination Daniel was probably singing that hynm
victory, victory shall be mine victory, victory shall be mine if i hold my peace and let God fight my battles victory, victory shall be mine
if i walk right, victory shall be mine if i walk right, victory shall be mine if i hold my peace and let God fight my battles victory victory shall be mine
if i pray right, victory shall be mine if i pray right , victory shall be mine if i hold my peace and let God fight my battles victory, victory shall be mine
if i talk right victory shall be mine if i talk right victory shall be mine if i hold my peace and let God fight my battles victory, victory shall be mine
iii. So they are preparing to throw him into the den, yet he still doesn’t try to defend himself.. and doesn’t beg for help, he isn’t crying..
The Kings is useless
His enemies thank that got the best of him
He has no support no help & no words to speak. As a matter of fact Daniel hasn’t whispered a word yet in this text except too God...
And Bamm he is thrown into the den and the kings yells.. May your God, whom you serve so faithfully, rescue you.. A stone is placed over the mouth of the den.
The king seals the stone so no one could rescue Daniel..
It amazes me when God wants to show off in us so bad he ties the hands of everyone that could help so no one can get the glory but him..
Isaiah 43:18–19 AV
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Tell somebody God is going to make a way for me Some How.. I just know it, i feel it, i sense it..
slap three people high five and tell them hold your peace watch God move...
ALL Night the king is up pacing the floor because he realizes his best dude was set-up and so was he..
Daniel 6:18–20 NLT
Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night fasting. He refused his usual entertainment and couldn’t sleep at all that night. Very early the next morning, the king got up and hurried out to the lions’ den. When he got there, he called out in anguish, “Daniel, servant of the living God! Was your God, whom you serve so faithfully, able to rescue you from the lions?”
Daniel 6:21–22 NLT
Daniel answered, “Long live the king! My God sent his angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have been found innocent in his sight. And I have not wronged you, Your Majesty.”
And Daniel for the first Time during this whole ordeal speaks up after God shows out!!!
Do Me A favor look at your neighbor and tell them before you say a Word.. Let God arise!! and let your enemies be scattered...
See what the text doesn’t reminds us is, Daniel is a prophet, who is anointed to interpret dreams and he is gifted to tell you what you dreamed..
So You got a man of God who prays 3 times a day, God speaks to and thru him prophetically and he has the gift interpreting dreams.. And a bunch of demons plotted & skeemed on him..
And when he found out he kept praying, I’m no rocket scientist but i truely believe this was revealed to Daniel way before it happened.
Daniel 6:23 AV
Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
See Daniel came out the same why he went it!!!
You Missed that.. The way you start a thing in the Kingdom is the way you end a thing in the kingdom..
Daniel 6:24 NLT
Then the king gave orders to arrest the men who had maliciously accused Daniel. He had them thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. The lions leaped on them and tore them apart before they even hit the floor of the den.
It’s a dangerous thing to come up against a child of God...
Daniel 6:25–28 NLT
Then King Darius sent this message to the people of every race and nation and language throughout the world: “Peace and prosperity to you! “I decree that everyone throughout my kingdom should tremble with fear before the God of Daniel. For he is the living God, and he will endure forever. His kingdom will never be destroyed, and his rule will never end. He rescues and saves his people; he performs miraculous signs and wonders in the heavens and on earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.” So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
