Last Sunday we talked about love that let’s go
We learned how we must respond to difficult, demanding, disappointing and destructive people
If we can love our family, we can love others, because it’s easier to love people from a distance, will you agree?
Today let us move along how the Bible and not some dictionaries or encyclopedias describe “Love”
says these…
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
If you love someone, you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand your ground in defending him.
Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting.
Love never stops being patient, never stops believing, never stops hoping, never gives up.
It doesn’t matter which translation you use. What truly matters is the presence of the Holy Spirit in us
Because the Holy Spirit will always guide us into all the truth says...
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
We must be like the Bereans when investigating and communicating the Word of God
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
The people of Berea were more open-minded than the people of Thessalonica. They were very willing to receive God’s message, and every day they carefully examined the Scriptures to see if what Paul said was true.
These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.
The people in Berea were much nicer than those in Thessalonica, and they gladly accepted the message. Day after day they studied the Scriptures to see if these things were true.
Ok?.. let’s get back to our business for the day...
Divorce rate here in America is 41% for the 1st marriages, 60% on the 2nd marriages and 73 on 3rd marriages
Love at first sight is just “attraction and arousal”.. the love that truly counts is the the Outstanding & Everlasting one
You’ll never know if you’re truly in-love unless you’ve been together for at least a quarter of a century
How many of you been married for 5, 10, 25, 50, 75 years?

There’s no perfect relationship. No perfect friendship.
2 Imperfect people cannot create a perfect relationship
As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one;
The Scriptures tell us, “No one is acceptable to God!
No relationship can last without “grace”
Grace is forgiveness, mercy, patience, understanding, compassion...
Forgiveness is always a two-way street
We can never receive what we are unwilling to give
Treat other people the way how God has treated you
Accepting people is listening to them
God gave us two ears for a reason
Be gentle and humble with one another
Give the other person some “slack”, some “allowances”
Outstanding Love Never Stops Being Patient

Hot tempers cause arguments, but patience brings peace.
The Greek word used here is “stegō” στέγω (pronounce-steho), meaning endure, bear, stand

Outstanding Love Never Stops Believing
Outstanding Love Never Stops Believing
I kept on believing, even when I said, “I am completely crushed,”
The Greek word used here is “pisteuō” πιστεύω (pronounce-pisteho), meaning to believe
Here the psalmist is saying that despite being crushed, he keeps on believing on God
We must always give people the benefit of the doubt
Always giving people a second chance
Among the best gift that we could ever give to a person is “trust”
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
Outstanding Love Never Stops Hoping

My Story with my “Last and Only”
Prayer
Prayer
Lord Jesus. You are the ultimate and exemplary example of “outstanding love”. Your willingness to take up that rugged cross. You patiently dragged it up to that mountain. You did not stop believing in the Father. And you never stop hoping for your people to repent. You did not gave up on us. So Lord, it is our prayer for the Holy Spirit to help us, to remain patient no matter what is our circumstances. To never stop believing in You, in our spouses, in our children, in our brothers and sisters, in our friends and co-workers. To always hope for what is the best, for You only have in store for us what is best. And finally, we pray Lord that You help us to never give up. These we ask our Father in heaven, through the Holy Spirit and in the name of our Saviour Jesus Christ.
