TRUST IN GOD
The Bible defines trust as “Reliance on and confidence in a person.” Scripture affirms the total
trustworthiness of God, especially in relation to his promises to his people. Christian faith is,
essentially, trust in the person and character of God.

1 Kings 8:56 “Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he
promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant
Moses. 57 May the LORD our God be with us as he was with our fathers; may he never
leave us nor forsake us.

John 14:1-4 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my
Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there
to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and
take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place
where I am going.”

1 Peter 2:23 “When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he

Isaiah 46:9-10 Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I
am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from
ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish
all my purpose,’

Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy
that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the
right hand of the throne of God.”
Revelation 12:11 “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word

TRUST
Should be with the whole heart.
Pr 3:5. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all
your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Should be humble
1 Pe 5:7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due
time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Will not be forsken
Psalm 9:10 Those who know your name will trust in you for you, LORD, have never forsaken
those who seek you.
