Mic 6:8. Tony van Drimmelen. With the GEMS and Cadets we ask the question, “What does the Lord require of us?” The ancient prophet, Micah, answered the question and today, his answer is all the more potent because of the cross of Jesus. In the cross we see God’s justice vindicated and exalted. The perpetrators of injustice are forgiven and the victims of injustice are liberated (Lk 4:18). This takes ‘acting justly’ in the world today to a new level. Psalm 146 teaches us something that gets into the heart of Christians, to praise, worship, and adore the God of justice. The more we reflect on the justice of God given to us, the more we will "act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with our God."
