Proverbs 16:1–6 ESV
The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirit. Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble. Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the Lord; be assured, he will not go unpunished. By steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the Lord one turns away from evil.
Prov 16:
When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. 8 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues with injustice. 9 The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.
Proverbs 16:7 ESV
When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.
Proverbs 16:16 ESV
How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.
Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
Proverbs 16:18 ESV
Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.
Proverbs 16:25 ESV
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.
The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord.
Proverbs 16:33 ESV
The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord.
psalm 19:1
Psalm 19:7–10 ESV
The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.
