The God Who Loves Them

Intro - Like the days of old. People are remaking God in their own image. He becomes who they want Him to be instead of becoming who He wants them to be.
How can I accurately describe God?
What is a metric for my effectiveness as a disciple?
80% of 14-33 year olds reported that church was 'not important' to them.
3500 people leave church each day
7000 churches close each year. In many denominations it more close than open.
What can change everything for a person? What changed it all for us? KNOWING YOU.
SOMEONE SHARED God with us. 73% of people came to Christ because someone they knew shared with them about God.
LETS GO TO THE BIBLE TO FIND OUT ABOUT GOD. WHY?
The most historically accurate literature in the world in the Bible. 5x more copies of it found than the second most accurate historical literature
40 authors 66 books from fishermen to religious scholars across almost every continent and thousands of years incredibly accurately record events way before our current understanding. (Jesus’ spear piercing blood and water - pericardium)
Law of Compound Probability says that the probability of an event’s unlikelihood increases with each added factor. Over 600 messianic prophecies.
2 factors = 1 in 2 which is 50%
3 factors = 1 in 4 which is 25%
4 factors = 1 in 8 which is 12.5%
35 factors = 1 in 34,359,738,368 (35 Billion)
God is love - WE ALL LEARN LOVE BY SEEING AND FEELING IT
We learn by watching/receiving love.
Children with father/mother
People with other people
EX-- Jill with children in school crowding her/Don sent her a card
We know Him because He first loved us..
Jesus said, "He who has seen me has seen the Father" (, ,). He is the exact representation of the Father (). Our best defense against satan’s great offense (Rejection – inferiority and inadequacy) is knowing God.

HOW DO WE BRING HEALING TO THOSE AROUND US.
How Great Is This Lavish Love?
(NIV) 1  How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
Filled with Compassion
(NIV) 14  When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick. (NIV) 20 So he got up and went to his father. "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
14 And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.
(NKJV)
20 And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.
He Is Kind And Forgiving
(NIV) 4  But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5  he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared,
5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
When you experience rejection, you feel unloved, unwanted, unacceptable.
