Opening Up Proverbs Chapter 6: The Call of Wisdom and the Call of Christ (8:1–9:18)

The adulteress calls the young man from the darkness and in secret (7:9); Wisdom’s call is open and public (8:1–3).

• The wayward woman is sexually loose (7:10); Wisdom is holy (8:8a).

• The wayward woman is an unreliable liar (7:11); Wisdom is truthful and faithful (8:8b–9).
