The Call of Wisdom and the Call of Christ
The adulteress calls the young man from the darkness and in secret (7:9); Wisdom’s call is open and public (8:1–3).
• The wayward woman is sexually loose (7:10); Wisdom is holy (8:8a).
• The wayward woman is an unreliable liar (7:11); Wisdom is truthful and faithful (8:8b–9).
• The seductress gives you her body but not herself (2:17); Wisdom offers you true love (8:17).
