I.          The desire for leadership in the house of God is commendable

II.        Family is your first cell

            A.        Leadership development begins at home

B.        Leaders will reproduce after their own kind

C.        Leaders must have strong godly families in order to impact a world of dysfunctional families

D.        Churches and societies are only as strong as the families in them

III.       Family:  The proving ground for new leaders

            A.        Covenant faithfulness is cultivated in the family

            B.        Commitment to God’s order is learned in the home

            C.        Priorities in relationships are learned in the home

D.        Commitment to raising godly seed is learned in the home

E.         Character is developed in the home

E.         People skills are learned in the home

            F.         Discipline is learned in the home

G.        Purpose and direction for life is cultivated in the home

H.        Teamwork is learned in the home

I.          Training is carried out in the home

J.         Unconditional love is learned in the home

K.        Generations are built from strong families

IV.       Modern enemies of the family

            A.        Dysfunctional family background

            B.        A lack of love

            C.        Addictions (alcohol, drugs, pornography, etc.)

            D.        Strife and anger

            E.         Degrading words

            F.         Selfishness

            G.        Rebellion

            H.        Independent living

            I.          Wrong priorities

            J.         No kingdom order

            K.        Neglect

            L.         No communication

L.         No commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ
