How is your vision
How is Your Vision?
Pastor Keith Hassell
Foundation Scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
I. We are controlled by what we see.
A. Proverbs 28:19 “Where there is no vision, the people perish.”
B. David Yonggi Cho: “Show me your vision, and I will show you your future.”
II. Natural vision vs. Spiritual vision.
A. Natural vision
1. Focuses what can be seen
a. Our outward man is perishing (effects of aging)
b. Our light affliction
c. What can be seen is temporary
B. Spiritual vision
1. Focuses on what cannot be seen.
a. Our inward man is being renewed day by day!
b. Our afflictions only last for a moment
c. Our afflictions are working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
C. What you focus on will develop. (Polaroid camera)
III. How is your vision?
A. Near sighted: Your vision is only one day at a time and you have no idea where you are going.
B. Far sighted: Your vision is long range but you can’t focus on what you need to do today.
C. Twenty-twenty vision: This is balanced vision that can see the destination from a distance while at the same time being able to focus on each step along the way to get there.
IV. Acts 20:20 Vision
A. Public worship (Vision casting)
B. Home meetings (Regular walking out of the vision)
C. We need a balance of both in order to have healthy vision
