It was a dark and dreary night. There was a haze of fog in the night sky. A calm wind gently massaged the waves of the Atlantic Ocean as they moved back and forth. Everything was picture perfect.

So why the crash? What added to the Mystery was the fact that when the wreckage of plane was discovered the investigators were able to see that there had been no mechanical Failure. The plane was in peak condition.

With God all things are possible.

Everything you can touch and you can hear, everything you can feel.

You may feel that God won’t direct you on what where to go and what to do but the but the Bible says

I don’t think you get me, so let me come get you.

You may feel like you're up against insurmountable

odds and you don’t know which way turn or what your going to do.

Promises like

Trust in the Lord with all thy Heart and he will direct they Path.

If you Step into the Red Sea you will find your way of escape from Pharaoh.

But the instruments say

We need this type of faith to make it into the Kingdom, we this type of faith to be saved.

God permits these trials, brothers and sisters, he permits the financial hiccups, he permits the family issues, he permits the people to spread rumors about , he permits the health issue because he needs you to understand that he is a Present Help in times of Trouble!!!

Why did he pick a Land filled with People, that they would never be able to defeat in their own strength. Why did he bring them to a situation that was beyond their own innate ability.

They were Bigger,

Stronger

I started to think about our Modern issues that we face.

And if you trust in his promises God can and will work Miracles in your very sight.

You are called to trust in God when we don’t have any Money to pay the rent,

When these trials come, you can either lean on your own strength and be crushed or you can learn that there is God who sits high on the throne who can bring you through any situation.

And they were more technologically advanced.

Trials are an opportunity For your faith in God to Grow.

You are called to forgive give that person that has wronged you, when you all you want to do is slap them upside the head.

we are told to be Holy as he is holy Christ is Holy, and turn from our sins,

And yet God had Declared to them In

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;(or Trials)

Would the children of Israel trust in their senses or would they trust in a Promise of God.? Would they put trust in what they saw, above, what God had said? Would they trust to their own abilities as opposed to trusting in God’s ability.

But as I was studying the text, I wondered why did God allow this to happen

Affliction Purifies God’s People

God has to bring us situations that are beyond our ability.

God could have picked a land filled with People, that were their size. He could picked a land filled with people that were smaller than them.

Why did he pick a Land filled with People, that they would never be able to defeat in their own strength. Why did he bring them to a situation that was beyond their own innate ability.

Afflictions, crosses, temptations, adversity, and our varied trials are God’s workmen to refine us, sanctify us, and fit us for the heavenly garner.—Testimonies for the Church 3:115 (1872). {LDE 154.1}

Because if the situations in life that we face are never beyond our ability to handle then , we will never learn to put our faith and trust solely in power of God.

Are you going through something right now. God has permitted .

I started to think about our Modern issues that we face.

If we feel like we can handle it.

We will trust in ourselves to get through life.

We have to learn to Trust in God now, we have to learn, that if we trust in HIs word, he Will never Fail.

We are called to trust in God when we don’t have any Money to pay the rent,

I need someone to understand that There is an experience with God we are going to need if we are going to make through the end times, through a time of trouble that the Bible in says will be greater than any that has ever come upon the world.

I ask again, if you asked to Forgiven of sins, and you have been cleansed and then you ask for the Holy Spirit, what is the evidence that you have received him.

See have you ever been in a place, where you have messed up few times to the same sin, or you just keep sinning,and you even though you asked God to forgive you you don’t feel forgiven and you doubt God’s words because of how you feel. Do you realize tells us that if we waver in our faith we won’t receive anything of the Lord. What has kept us back from the promise blessing is not God but our own unbelief, or our lack of faith.

Is the evidence that you feel happy all of a sudden, is the evidence that flame will occur over your head, is the evidence that you will speak in tongues. No the Evidence that you have received the Spirit of God is that it is written that if you shall receive it if you ask.

We obtain promises when our faith is based only on what God has said not how we feel.

Because their faith was based upon their sight and their ability, the moment, they saw the difficulties, they concluded it was not possible. They saw the promise of God in fact they even quoted it, part of it but then came the very dangerous words. Nevertheless.

We Must stop relying on faith based on feelings because it ties the hands of God.

It was focusing on the problem and not the promise that led them to be stuck in the wilderness.

Behold what counterfeit faith gets you.

Whenever there is a nevertheless or a but after a promise of God, you know your faith is grounded in your feelings and your senses.

The Children of Israel were promised the promised Land, it was theirs, they just had to go and take it.

Yes I know that all things work together together for the good of God, but I wanted this job and I didn’t get it and I am upset.

I know that if I seek the first the kingdom God all these things shall be added unto me,, the job I have doesn’t pay enough money, we I don’t know how we are going to pay this.

But their faith was based upon what they could see. And as a result, they couldn’t obtain the very thing that God had for them.

I know that God has said that I confess he will forgive but… I feel I can’t be forgiven for what I have done.

I know that God promises me the Spirit but…. I don’t feel his Power.

So the number one question this morning that we have to answer this practical is how do we in 2017 exercise biblical faith so we can receive the promises of God

IF we go back to the Narrative it give us the answer.

You have to understand there were 12 spies that were sent out, and 10 of those spies gave an evil report. But Joshua Caleb, no no no, We can take the land we are well able.

If we use A but after a promise of God, we will have everything But THe Power God!!!!!!

And in fact they were able to enter into the promised.

That Spirit that Caleb was the Holy Spirit. And it enabled him to have faith that was not grounded in his senses.

And this is the confidence

It is only when Christ is in your heart you can exercise overcoming faith.

Jesus says with out me.

I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me

God Said they could have the land.

Without me, you can do nothing.

3. We have to be people of Prayer.

When you wake up in the morning, Confess your sins and ASk for a Fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit to fill your heart.

kNow too that through him you too can a faith, that ignores how you feel, and is based in his word.

Lords Prayer = Forgiveness.

We have to practice this new type of Faith. It helps

This bring me to 2nd thing you need to do to have overcoming faith.

God is going to keep his promises to you.

You have to know the promises.

Caleb and Joshua’s faith, came from the fact, that God had said to them, that they would inherit the land.

19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

If it is your purpose to spend time with God in prayer, and start exercising a faith that is beyond your emotion, but rather based in God’s word come forward. If you are tired up being tripped up by a counterfeit faith come forward. The Bible teaches us.

Lord I come here asking you to forgive me for taking cookies from the cookie jar. And I know I have been forgiven not feel it,

And I know I have been forgiven me not because of how I feel, but because you said in your word. If we confess our sins

Do these 3 things to excercise overcoming faith.

Satanic Strongholds in your life, will be broken down.

When yOur faith is based in word and not how you feel.

You can have Hope, when it appears that all hope is lost.

When your faith is based in his word

You can walk through the valley of The shadow death, and yet fear no evil.

When your FAith is based on his word.

Even if you have to wait on The Lord,

You Shall renew your strength, You shall mount up with wings like an Eagle, you shall run and not be weary, you shall walk and not faint.

IF you need that FAith this Breath of Life say Yes!!!
