It is not however my business this morning to enter into a full description of Joseph as the type of Christ, I have a rather more practical object in hand. I shall endeavour in the Lord’s strength to deal with tried and troubled consciences, and if it shall be my

cease my hatred for them because of your wickedness, and I concede that I am grateful to you as allies in the plans undertaken by God for the present. And I wish you yourselves also to forget those things and rather to be pleased that the former ill-

advisedness has come to such an end, rather than to be distressed, ashamed at your offences. Let not the wicked decision that you made in my case appear, therefore, to cause you pain, nor let your regret for it, since your counsels did not make headway.

Go, therefore, rejoicing at what has been brought to pass by God and reveal these things to your father.
