Introduction:
Introduction:
We have to this point explored several ways in which Jesus has manifested his superiority. The Hebrew writer strategically and methodically catalog outline several categorical areas in Jesus Christ is either the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecy or in some way "better" then the Old Testament system.This is certainly true of his sacrificial death of Christ Jesus. The sacrificial death of Jesus Christ is a significant moment in Christian history when the Son of God functioned as our substitutionary sacrifice.
Proposition: The sacrifice of Jesus Christ was a one time for all time act, which inaugurated the new covenant, in which sin was “put away”.
For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;
nor was it that He would offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the holy place year by year with blood that is not his own.
Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,
so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

B. A Once and for all sacrifice. No need for continuous sacrifice as in the Old Testament. (). The Hebrew writer compares the one time experience of physical death with the one time sacrifice of Christ. Just like man dies once, Christ death was one time for all time sacrifice.
B. Jesus is described as our advocate (
C. The superiority of Christ sacrifice is that he shed his own blood functioning as the one who offers and the offering ()
