Releasing LIFE!

Foundation Scripture:   Ezekiel 47:1-12

 

I.       There is a River of LIFE!

II.      LIFE flows from the Temple of God

A.      1 Corinthians 3:16  “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”

B.      1 Corinthians 6:19  “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”

C.      2 Corinthians 6:16  “And what agreement has the temple of God with idols?  For you are the temple of the living God.”

D.      John 7:38–39  “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.  But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him should receive.”

III.    LIFE flows through the Cross

A.      Ezekiel 47:1  “The water was flowing from under the right side of the temple, south of the altar.”

B.      The altar is the CROSS

IV.     LIFE flows OUT

          A.      There is no life in a stagnant pool of water

          B.      The River must flow OUT

V.      LIFE flows in measures

          A.      The further the River flowed OUT, the deeper and wider it became

VI.     LIFE brings fruitfulness

A.      On the banks of the river were trees on one side and the other that will bear fruit every month

B.      LIFE is excess life

C.      The fruit is used for food

D.      The leaves are for medicine

VII.   LIFE heals the bitter waters

VIII.  LIFE will awaken the HARVEST

          A.      There will be a very great multitude of fish

          B.      There will fishermen

IX.     LIFE will not affect the swamps and marshes

          A.      Swamps and marshes speak of the outlying areas

B.      People can be receiving the LIFE of God but not doing anything with it.

X.      LIFE is in the RIVER!

A.      What should I do for God?  Where should I minister?  Who should I reach?

B.      Wherever it flows, it brings life.  SO, JUST LET THE RIVER FLOW!!!

          1.       Praise

          2.       Worship

          3.       Service

          4.       Witness

          5.       Ministry

XI.     Your relationship with the River

          A.      Are you IN the River (one who receives life)?

          B.      Does the River flow OUT OF YOU?
