III. What are apostles?
A. Apostles are “sent ones”
1. There is a difference between those who are sent and those who just went
B. They are pioneers
C. They lay foundations for new works
D. They establish and set the church in its proper order
E. They are spiritual fathers
F. Apostles can be tested (Revelation 2:2)
IV. The church is built on the foundation of the apostle and prophet (Ephesians 2:19-20)
V. The first church was apostolic
A. Was represented by twelve apostles (Acts 2:14)
