Foundation Scripture:   Ezekiel 37:1-14

I.       God has to bring us out of the mainstream in order to become an instigator of revival

A.      “The hand of the Lord cane upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord” (Verse 1)

II.      God shows us a valley of dry bones

          A.      Nothing encouraging to be seen—lonely, desolate, death

          B.      The bones were very dry—serious death

C.      Note: God does not show us the dry bones for us to be discouraged but for us to develop vision and take action. Anyone can be critical and faultfinding with the problem. But it takes anointed leadership to bring a solution.

III.    God makes a promise of revival

A.      “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you and you shall live.” (Verse 5)

IV.     Prophesy to these bones!

          A.      We have to learn to stand in the face of death and prophesy LIFE

B.      We have to learn to hear and obey the word of God in the face of death

          C.      We must be willing to prophesy when no one is around to hear it

D.      We must be able to see death and resurrection as processes that need to take place before revival comes.

          1.       The death process

          2.       The resurrection process

E.      The answer to the death process is to prophesy LIFE

F.      We have not experienced revival yet, but we have been given the SEEDS of revival.  We must seed the heavens with faith in God’s word.

G.      What words are you prophesying?

          1.       Words of pessimism and doubt?

          2.       Words of optimism and faith?

V.      Seven Stages of Revival

A.      Prophesying the first time (verses 4-6):  RESTORATION

1.       There was a SOUND:  Things get noisy in praise and in prayer.

                   2.       There was a SHAKING:  In every area

3.       There came BONE TOGETHER WITH BONE:  Restructuring of church government and members in order to be properly “jointed” together with one another.  There has to be proper structure in order for the body to stand.

4.       There came SINEWS AND FLESH:  Form and dimension but still no life.

5.       There came SKIN:  A new understanding of spiritual covering for the body.

B.      Prophesying the second time (verses 9-10):  RESURRECTION

6.       There came BREATH and LIFE:  Resurrection breath and life

7.       There came PURPOSE:  They stood as an exceeding great army.

VI.     The Victorious Intention of Revival

A.      Prophesying the third time (verse 12-14): VICTORY

The bones are saying:   “We are dry, our hope is lost, and we are cut off!”

1.       Victory over the things that once held you in death (graves)

          2.       Victory over your enemies (in the land)

          3.       Victory over the strongholds (in the land)

          4.       Victory in possessing your inheritance (in the land)
