Hymns of the Faith- Finale
I kept coming back to one idea with each week though.
I did not say it often but I think it has some value as we close this series.
The phrase was “The testimony of His people.”
When we talked about how God is there in the times of turmoil, or how he was there in times of trouble, we can establish that we know this by the “Testimony of his people”.
When we try to explain how great God is, or we see his faithfulness, we let others know “by the testimony of His people.”
Or as we learned last week, that a song is a reminder of what God did by sending his son Jesus, people can see that impact, “by the testimony of His people.”
So let us look at this passage today, with this in mind.
Colossians 3:16-17
Word of Christ
Logos- Greek word- This is talking about the message of Christ.
What is the message of Christ?
Love the Lord your God, and your neighbor.
Simple right.
Loving others is our Testimony
Hearts- your center
