II. The purity of God’s wrath
F.
A. God’s wrath is not like man’s wrath
When man gets angry it is mostly because we are offended and our pride gets in the way. Even when we are anger is right, it is tainted with our sinful nature.
This is why we must not compare God’s anger with our anger. Our anger is tainted with sin, whereas God know no sin and His anger is just and pure.
His anger is related to His holiness which cannot tolerate sin

IV. The object of God’s Wrath
Romans 1:18 KJV 1900
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
A.
A. His wrath is against sin. It is not uncontrolled fury like someone who is out to seek revenge, but it is pointed with a purpose at those who are unrighteous and ungodly.
ungodliness is those whose relationship with God is broken because of sin.
Adam and Eve where the first to break this relationship, they wanted to rule their own lives, they wanted to be their own god.
The ungodliness of unbelievers is seen in their attitude towards God
mocking, using God’s name in vain
lack of reverence and worship towards God which leads idolitary.
ii. unrightoueness is our actions toward our fellow man

B. Christian need to live like they believe it.
Romans 6:1 KJV 1900
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
