The Judgment of this World
The Judgment Of This World
Pastor Keith Hassell
Foundation Scripture: John 12:31; 1 John 2:17
I. The Titanic
A. British luxury passenger liner that sank during the night of April 14-15, 1912 during it maiden voyage with a loss of 1,513 lives. It was the largest ship in the world at 882.5 feet long with a gross tonnage of 46,328 pounds. It had a double bottomed hull , divided into 16 watertight compartments. Because 4 of these compartments could be flooded without causing the ship to sink, it was considered unsinkable. Shortly before midnight on April 14, while traveling at 22 knots (approximately 25 mph), the ship collided with an iceberg that ripped a 300-foot gash in its right side, rupturing five of its watertight compartments, causing it to sink about 2 ½ hours later at 2:20 AM. Inquiries held in the U.S. and Great Britain alleged that they Leyland liner “Californian,” which was less than 20 miles away could have aided the stricken vessel had its radio operator been on duty. Only the arrival of the Cunard liner “Carpathia” 1 hour and 20 minutes after the Titanic went down prevented further loss of life in the icy waters. The Titanic only had lifeboats available for 1,178 of its 2,224 passengers. According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, the number of dead was 1,513.

Satan’s Luxury Liner “World” has filled its cabins with souls with tickets to World Utopia. People are eating, drinking, marrying, and being given in marriage. It is said to be unsinkable. Not even God can turn this ship around. On 33 AD, midnight, this ship ran into the cross of Jesus Christ. Some continue to bail water. The Ark of Jesus Christ stands ready for rescue boarding. This radio operator is on duty. Call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved! We are on this ship to rescue the perishing and care for the dying!
