Foundation Scripture:            Matthew 9:35-10:1; Luke 10:1-12

I.          Jesus loves people

            A.        Jesus went

            B.         Jesus taught

            C.        Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom

            D.        Jesus healed

II.         Jesus could not reach people by Himself

            A.        He saw the multitudes

            B.         He was moved with compassion

                        1.         They were weary

                        2.         They were scattered (harassed)

                        3.         They were like sheep having no shepherd

                                    a.         Unconnected

                                    b.         Unaccountable

                                    c.         Unprotected

            C.        The harvest is plentiful

            D.        The laborers are few

                        1.         Soulwinners

                        2.         Shepherd leaders

E.         Pray therefore the Lord of the Harvest to send out laborers into His harvest (Our goal is not simply to grow, but to grow to GO)

III.       Jesus’ Strategy

A.        Win

            B.         Consolidate them (care for their needs)

C.        Disciple

D.        Send

                        1.         Give them authority

                        2.         Give them power

                        3.         Send them with a message

                        4.         Send them into cities

                        5.         Send them into homes

IV.       Do you see the need?

V.        Do you hear Jesus’ call for help?

VI.       What can you do?

            A.        Pray for souls

            B.         Pray for laborers

            C.        Get connected to a cell

D.        Get under a leader who can prepare and equip you to reach the multitudes
