I’ve had quite a week.
It’s been healing and cathartic.
I’ve learned a lot.
I’m at peace for the first time in a long time.
I’ve learned a lot about grace.
I’ve learned a lot about myself.
I’ve learned a lot about the heart of God, and I can’t think of a better text to walk through this week as I’ve learned so much.
And I don’t mean intellectually.
There’s a difference between knowing (head) something and knowing something (heart).
Hear now the true word of the Living God:
This is the beautiful restoration of everything!
Because right now, everything is broken.
It’s all broken.
And there are five relationships right now that are broken that will be restored at this point, and I want to walk through this passage and show them to you:
e 5: this is recapitulation.
We've seen this concept of no more darkness before
What does verse 4 you of?
Verse 5: this is recapitulation.
We've seen this concept of no more darkness before
5 Restored Relationships:
5 Restored Relationships:
1. God & Creation
(- God is irrigation, 12 crops ever month [144 crops/year]).
Creation is yearning for this burden that we brought onto it to be lifted off.
Christ's work is for us, yes, but it's bigger than just us.
We see this in the Triumphal entry, and when the pharisees try to get Jesus to get the people to shut up, he says, "if they don't cry out, the rocks will!
()" Because it isn't just humanity that yearns for the messiah to come to restore everything, but also creation.
Creation wants to be free to worship God with us.
And on that day, burden will be lifted off.
And creation will be free to worship.
2. Man & Creation
( Creation was not designed to sustain us meal to meal.
Our relationship was designed to heal humanity and give us knowledge.
Creation is supposed to do something deeper than just get us to the next meal.
That's what it did in the Garden of Eden,
and that's what it will do in the new heavens and new earth.
But because of the curse, we don't get to partake of that right now, and creation is frustrated.)
and that's what it will do in the new heavens and new earth.

θεραπεία lemma.
This is personal.
The healing is not just for nations, but also for individuals.
The healing is for you.
Creation wants to minister to us.
Our relationship with creation will be restored.
But what creation will do will affect the next two relationships that will be restored.
3. Man & Man
Our relationships with each other will not be cursed.
Right now, relationships are hard.
talks about love, and I’m fairly certain none of us live up to the definition.
Like, “love does not insist on its own way.”
Anyone here obeying that all the time?
I’m not.
And that causes tension between us.
Our relationships are broken.
The curse will be gone and all of our relationships with one another will be healthy and loving and joy-filled.
4. Man & Self
2 co
We have psychological issues.
We’re messed up.
Let me tell you some of that ways that I’ve been messed up that it took someone that loves me to point out:
Let the Spirit lead through the story of your week and conversation with Jared:
Have a voice in your life as big as yours and when you disagree, defer.
Never fight for your job.
Never be the smartest guy in the room.
I’m tired of being the answer guy.
I’m done.
And that’s how I’m weak.
And I’m okay admitting that.
Maybe you’re there.
I don’t know, but I’m reminded that even the Apostle Paul had issues, hangups, struggles, and sins.
He talks about a “thorn in the flesh” that Jesus wouldn’t remove from him.
He says:
2 co 12.6-
Let’s be a church where, right now, we’re jacked up, and we admit that and we love one another anyway.
Let’s admit our own weakness and not pretend we have it all together.
Because the church’s job is to take broken people and pick up the pieces and bring them to Jesus so he can put them back together.
When we’re weak, Jesus can work most powerfully through us.
When we’re weak, he is strong in us.
Therefore, let us boast all the more about our weakness.
But that’s all going to be healed.
That will all go away.
All of our junk.
All of our weakness.
All of our self-hatred.
All of our brokenness.
5. Man & God
(; Jesus defines eternal life- the ones who know God and serve Jesus.
And this is the relationship- the face-to-face relationship that is restored in the New Heavens and New Earth.
3. Man & God (; Jesus defines eternal life- the ones who know God and serve Jesus.
And this is the relationship- the face-to-face relationship that is restored in the New Heavens and New Earth.
God is talking to Moses- one of the holiest dudes of his day!
If we see that face of God, we die.
Then we will see him face to face in glory!
That day is going to be awesome.
And we wait eagerly, but right now, we can have some wholeness.
If you’re broken mentally, or maybe you have a relationship that’s broken, and it’s been broken for a while, and you just need to give it to Jesus, today is a good day.
Give it to Jesus.
Let him tell you who you are.
Let him heal your brokenness.
