Col 3:12-17. Dan Kroon. Being raised with Christ doesn’t just mean ditching the old clothes. It also means donning the new. In fact, the two actions go hand-in-hand. You’re scrubbed up, thanks to Christ, and you’ve got a brand new outfit to wear. It’s the reason the old clothes are now in the bin. But what does this new outfit look like? Well, it looks like Jesus. He is the model. We’ve seen him wear these things perfectly – things like compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, love and peace. This is what we are 'putting on'. And Christ not only gives us these garments – he shows us exactly how we are to wear them.
