It has been said that...
Confidence: Is the feeling you experience before you fully understand the situation.
What does that saying mean?
What does this saying imply with regard to ever being confident?
What if you REALLY DO fully understand the situation - can you be confident then, and if so is it the same feeling?
This series will give us an opportunity to explore our core beliefs
Do you know what your core beliefs are?
How confident are you in those beliefs?

We most likely don’t agree.
Be truthful about what you currently believe.
If we are going to gain anything meaningful from this discussion, we need to be truthful.
What if you are “right” and everyone else is wrong and you don’t speak up?
Be considerate of beliefs that are different than your own.
What if you are “wrong” and you fail to listen to the correct point of view?
This is not a democracy discussion (i.e. we aren’t going to vote to determine which opinion is true).
What if the majority is “wrong” and we vote out the truth?

Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.

I don’t believe we’ll ever know if Jesus was really what everyone says he was.
I think it’s a lot of historical misrepresentation.
