6 So he said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed: 7 There we were, binding sheaves in the field.

Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.”

8 And his brothers said to him, “Shall you indeed reign over us?

Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?”

So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words.

9 Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said, “Look, I have dreamed another dream.

And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me.”

sometimes People hate because they hate and there’s nothing that can be done about that, other times people hate because of pride.

6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

Did Joseph think of himself more highly then he ought?

Do not put out the Spirit's fire; do not treat prophecies with contempt.

Test everything.

Hold on to the good.

Avoid every kind of evil ().

The Bible gives a number of principles for testing a prophecy.

- It must build up the body.

- It must agree with Scripture.

, - It must exalt Jesus.

, - It must come true.

- It must lead to God and obedience to him.

- It must produce liberty

- It must produce life.

- It must be attested to the Holy Spirit in each believer.

These are just a few of the leaders in the Old Testament whose leadership was founded on server node to God and others.
