· 25 viewsThe call on the Christian is to have the sort of trust that makes us prepared to put our entire lives into God's hands. Simply believing in God is no good to us. We are to have faith, and trust is the practical outworking of faith. Faith in God sometimes seems hard to pin down in exactly what it means; it's hard to know whether we really have "faith". But trust, I am finding, trust is the practical outworking of faith: it is when we trust God that we show that our faith in Him is real.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Gene
And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you. For two years now there has been famine in the land, and for the next five years there will not be plowing and reaping. But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
“So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.
But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
