Five years ago on September 24, 2012, we officially concluded the legal process to adopt our three daughters Deliasha, Sharia and Marianna. After months and months of paperwork, meetings, trainings and processes, we had arrived at the bench of the Cleveland County judge who would finalize and complete the legal proceedings which would make us a forever family.
The Scriptures have a number of references to our own adoption by the Father, into the family of God. It would do us well to think about this powerful metaphor for our salvation and life in Christ.
