Because unrepentance destroys the soul (v18)

Bound and loose sin

Sin-words and actions specific against Word of God

Sins loosed-forgiven. Taken off the person so not guilty.

Sins bound-not forgiven. Held guilty of their sins.

Soul is then in danger of losing salvation.

Because Jesus desires his salvation (vv15-17)
