But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

In 2008, after her massive stroke, Mdm Wong heard about Jesus Christ.

And like many people,

she understood who Jesus is.

And when asked if she believe that Jesus died for her on the cross

To save and cleanse her from her sins, she said yes.

She was also told that Jesus did not just die for her.

She was told that 3 days after Jesus was placed in a tomb

He also rose from the dead.

This Jesus Christ who died and rose from the dead

Gave Mdm Wong and all Christians hope.

This living hope is precious when we are sick and dying.

And during vigil service like this

This blessed hope is especially precious

Because it meant that when she pass from this life to the next.

It meant Mdm Wong has a place in the presence of GOD

Mdm Wong has a place in the presence of GOD

Dear family and friends.

May you be comforted to know that Mdm Wong

is in a better place now.

Do no be sad anymore.

She has suffered greatly and had been in despair for 10 years.

We who are healthy, can walk, eat and go toilet, do not really know what Mdm Wong has gone through in these past 10 years.

And her family who has stayed with her.

Love her and did what they knew at that time was best for her.

Are the best people to know how much she has suffered.

BUT may all of us be encourage and comforted to know

what was promised by GOD in the Bible

after we heard Josiah’s sharing about his grandmother.

Let me read it again.

John 1:12 KJV 1900

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Here is a promise of GOD.

To Mdm Wong and all who welcome Jesus into their lives.

Who receive or take Jesus into our lives.

Jesus gives them the power

To become sons (children) of GOD.

All children of GOD upon death are not lost.

They all return to GOD

And GOD welcomes them in the name of Jesus Christ.

The bible comfort the family who has of lose a love one with this promise.

Indeed our love ones is only sleeping

And when they wake up and open their eyes, they see Jesus.

And Jesus welcomes them into heaven.

And GOD welcomes everyone whom Jesus welcomes into heaven.

So, be comforted that your mother, grandmother, great grandmother believes in Jesus Christ

That in Jesus Christ she is now in heaven with GOD.

May your sadness also have the hope that the Bible gives.

The hope that anyone who believes in Jesus,

his death on the cross

and his rising from the dead

are given the power to be called Children of GOD.

The bible verse, is given by GOD to us.

They are the words and promise of a good and faithful GOD.

His promises are true and He never fail to keep His promises.

So, the greatest comfort we can have at this time of great sadness

Is this promise that Mdm Wong is now in the presence of GOD

And in a very special and unplanned way.

Mdm Wong is showing the rest of her family

How they too can enjoy what she is enjoying now.

Please do not be like the people who rejects Jesus when you hear him calling.

May you be like Mdm Wong.

When she understood, she also believe

and was baptised in the name of GOD the Father,

Jesus Christ His Son and

the Holy Spirit who is given to stay with us until we too goes home to be with GOD.

Let us pray.

and anyone who truly believe in Jesus Christ
