Introduction
Introduction
Paul is quickly coming to the end of his letter. Paul has some closing encouragements.
Paul is going to give all of us five imperatives that should be the hallmark of our lives!
Paul begins by answering another apparent question. If you have your Bibles turn with me to and we’ll begin reading with verse 1.
1 Now about the collection for God’s people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do.
2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.
3 Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem.
4 If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me.

It seems that the church at Corinth had heard about the churches in Galatia (most likely southern Galatia).
Apparently they had been taking up an offering for the poor in Jerusalem.

The letters of introduction would be used when a group of trusted men would deliver their gift to Jerusalem. Who knows, maybe Paul would travel with them.
