1Co 15:1-11. Jordan Gommer. "Now let me remind you of the gospel..." These are the opening words of 1 Corinthians 15, the climax of Paul's first letter to the church in Corinth. Having spent much of the letter correcting and rebuking the church, Paul wants his readers - both then and now - to understand that all he has been teaching revolves around the gospel of Jesus' death for our sins, and his resurrection to give us eternal life. This real, truthful gospel changes us into imitators of Christ, delivers us into new life, and compels us to proclaim it to those who have not yet heard it and believed, as it did for Paul. Our actions should, therefore, always be rooted in and centred on the gospel, regardless of where we are and what we're doing.
