Call to Worship
1 Clap your hands, all peoples!
Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
2 For the Lord, the Most High, is to be feared,
a great king over all the earth.
3 He subdued peoples under us,
and nations under our feet.
4 He chose our heritage for us,
the pride of Jacob whom he loves. Selah
5 God has gone up with a shout,
the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises!
Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
7 For God is the King of all the earth;
sing praises with a psalm!
8 God reigns over the nations;
God sits on his holy throne.
9 The princes of the peoples gather
as the people of the God of Abraham.
For the shields of the earth belong to God;
he is highly exalted!
Psalm 47:1
Confession
Jesus has called us to take up our cross and follow him, yet we are a distracted people. Rather than denying ourselves we serve ourselves. Lord, we confess we are selfish people, we confess we need your grace. Forgive us, Father.
Assurance of Pardon
God’s grace abounds where sin is present. Jesus has taken death and turned it into life, he has taken you from darkness and brought you into his glorious light. Here these words, by the great and powerful name of Jesus your sins are forgiven.
Communion
Jesus has called all his disciples to come and feast with him at his table. Come this morning as a follower of Christ and enjoy the renewed covenant with our King.
Offering
Let us respond to all that Christ has done by following his model in giving generously to advance his kingdom on earth
Benediction
Hear this benediction from Numbers chapter 6
24 The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
27 “So shall they put my name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them.”
