Don’t Stop! Get It Get It
Now when Sanballat and Tobiah and Geshem the Arab and the rest of our enemies heard that I had built the wall and that there was no breach left in it (although up to that time I had not set up the doors in the gates), Sanballat and Geshem sent to me, saying, “Come and let us meet together at Hakkephirim in the plain of Ono.” But they intended to do me harm. And I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?”

Nehemiah
Chapter 1
The words of Nehemiah the son of Hacaliah.
Now it happened in the month of Chislev, in the twentieth year, as I was in Susa the citadel, that Hanani, one of my brothers, came with certain men from Judah. And I asked them concerning the Jews who escaped, who had survived the exile, and concerning Jerusalem. And they said to me, “The remnant there in the province who had survived the exile is in great trouble and shame. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates are destroyed by fire.”
As soon as I heard these words I sat down and wept and mourned for days, and I continued fasting and praying before the God of heaven.

Nehemiah Chapter 2 he request to rebuild…
He wanted to rebuild the walls. A city with broken walls revealed a defeated people.
A wall is a structure that defines an area, carries a load, or provides shelter or security. There are many kinds of walls: Defensive walls in fortification. Walls in buildings that form a fundamental part of the superstructure or separate interior sections, sometimes for fire safety.
You just cant stay stuck but you have to get up and make a difference
Rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem was important because it revealed God’s blessing, served as a sign to Israel’s enemies, and showed God was with His people. The walls provided protection and dignity to a people who had suffered the judgment of God but had later been restored and returned to the Promised Land.

Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem were three enemies of the Jews who made several attempts to stop Nehemiah from rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. Sanballat and Tobiah are first mentioned in as upset about Nehemiah’s work
Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem were regional governors serving under the king of Persia.
Nehemiah was a type of Christ -

Nehemiah was on the Wall (Lifted up)
Jesus was on the cross (lifted up)
Nehemiah was building the wall for safety of Isreal…
Jesus on the cross was building walls of protection of His church and my salvation…
His enemies told Nehemiah to come down....
Jesus enemies told him the same thing.
“He saved others; he cannot save himself. He is the King of Israel; let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.
Nehemiah told his enemies “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down” - Don’t stop get it, get it.
So the wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty-two days. And when all our enemies heard of it, all the nations around us were afraid and fell greatly in their own esteem, for they perceived that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God.
Nehemiah 6:
Nehemiah said the wall was finished…
Jesus said it was finished on the cross....

Strengthen the administration
Strengthen the music department
Strengthen the walls in the youth department
Strengthen the walls in the men’s department
Strengthen the walls in the women’s department
Only way you can stop is When the trumpet sounds or your like Paul “I fought a good fight”
