God’s Love Has No Ends
God’s Love Has No Ends
Vs 1 which speak on the character of God
Give thanks - is to confess or to acknowledged
to Who?
The Lord - yeh-ho-vaw
The great “I am.”
10 things the name Yahweh, “I AM,” says about God:
1. He never had a beginning. Every child asks, “Who made God?” And every wise parent says, “Nobody made God. God simply is. And always was. Yahweh has No beginning.”
2. God also will never end. If he did not come into being he cannot go out of being, because he is being.
3. God is absolute reality. There is no reality before him. There is no reality outside of him unless he wills it and makes it. He is all that was eternally. No space, no universe, no emptiness. Only God.
4. God is utterly independent. He depends on nothing to bring him into being or support him or counsel him or make him what he is.
5. Everything that is not God depends totally on God. The entire universe is utterly secondary. It came into being by God and stays in being moment by moment on God’s decision to keep it in being.
6. All the universe is by comparison to God as nothing. As an echo to a thunderclap. All that we are amazed by in the world and in the galaxies, is, compared to God, as nothing.
7. God is constant. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He cannot be improved. He is not becoming anything. He is who he is.
8. God is the absolute standard of truth and goodness and beauty. There is no law-book to which he looks to know what is right. No almanac to establish facts. No guild to determine what is excellent or beautiful. He himself is the standard of what is right, what is true, what is beautiful.
9. God does whatever he pleases and it is always right and always beautiful and always in accord with truth. All reality that is outside of him he created and designed and governs as the absolute reality. So he is utterly free from any constraints that don’t originate from the counsel of his own will.
10. God is the most important and most valuable reality and person in the universe. He is more worthy of interest and attention and admiration and enjoyment than all other realities, including the entire universe.
V1
We are to confess and or acknowledge Yahweh
Why?
But Why?
First of all
for He is good - He is better, He is the best, He is bountiful, He is cheerful, He is merry, He is pleasant, He is desirable, He is kind, He is friendly, He is joyful,
God is the definition of good. He Himself is good,
and to all his creatures; His goodness is shown to every creature big & small
and especially to his chosen people, the church
and secondly
For His steadfast love endures forever
or put another way, For His true love has no end
we need to confess and acknowledge Yahweh because He is good and his true love has not end
Vs 2&3 Speak to God’s sovereignty
We are to acknowledge and confess that Yahweh, the great I am is the only God
He is the god of God’s
:5
For I know that the Lord is great and that our Lord is above all gods.
In other words Yahweh does as He please, that whatever He pleases, He does. He controls even the weather, and the gods of all the other nations nations around Israel at that time, and all the other gods around us today, they can not. therefore God’s people should never fear or honor their gods’
Yahweh is sovereign
That He alone holds this world in the palm of His hands,
That He alone has all dominion, power and authority, in all things
That He alone has all dominion, power and authority, in all things
He alone holds all things together , He is the glue of the universe
We are acknowledge and confess that He alone is the sovereignty God?
That He alone has all dominion, power and authority, in all things
He alone holds all things together despite
He's Got the Whole World in His Hands
He's got my brothers and my sisters in His hands,
He's got the sun and the rain in His hands,
He's got the rivers and the mountains in His hands,
He's got everybody there in His hands,
He's got everybody everywhere in His hands,
He's got the whole world in His hands.
or Chris Tomlin wrote the following in one of his songs
From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God

Think about this, The leading story on the CJLS news on Friday was that Nova Scotia Power reported that 5 customers were without power.
Now if you compare that with what is going on in places like Sudan, Hatti, Cameroon, Las Vegas
Vs 4
We see that God, Yahweh, the great I am is not a God that was just in the Old Testament
Notice to Him who alone does
notice is does not say to Him alone did.... great things,
but but rather it says that He continues to do great things
verses 5-9 tell us what Yahweh has made and done
account of creation,
We have much to be thankful for, to acknowledge and confess what God has created, do we not?
Think about it..
Your trip to church this morning, the leaves are most beautiful this time of year. The leaves and all colors, the reds, the golds, yellow and all the shades in between.
there are even websites that talk about the beauty of NS this time of year. The colors of fall are truly something to be thankful for
verses 10-16 tell us about how Yahweh struck Egypt
That Yahweh provided a way out of the bondage of teh Egyptians
He provides a way out of the bondage of sin,
as Angie shared last week, not only a way, but protects us from the fear of death.
verse 17-20 tell us how Yahweh struck the Amorite Kings
That Good gave Israel victory in battle as He lead them to the promise land, to the land of milk and honey.
We should not fear, the Justin Trudeau, Donald trumps, or North Korea Kim Jong
God is in control, He has struck down kings and rulers in the past, for He sits on His throne.
And we see victory's everyday of God and His ever outstretching hands as he rules
Bill
Oh brothers and sisters, we like Israel who was lead into a physical land that over flowed with bounty
we are being lead into an eternal land, a new heaven and earth, full of Blessings and riches that are indescribably, and they are real.
And Yahweh is looking our for us.
Verses 21-25 informs us of Israel’s heritage from Yahweh
WE can be thankful for his sverignty the area in which we live, can we not?
WE can be thankful for his sverignty the area in which we live, can we not?
Think about this, The leading story on the CJLS news on Friday was that Nova Scotia Power reported that 5 customers were without power.
Now if you compare that with what is going on in places like Sudan, Hatti, Cameroon, Las Vegas
God has given his people a great heritage, blessings, promises, passed from one generation to the next.
from protecting and providing, to blessings
from the OT to the NT, each page just seeping with what God has given
Especially His Son.
To the Apostles, reformers, Puritans, Martyrs, great preachers of the past and present
verse 26
Acknowledge and confess Yahweh, the great “I am” of Heaven
for His true love has no end
O may this day in which we have set aside to be thankful
O may this day in which we have set aside to be thankful
may we just think about it
may we acknowledge and confess, that God,
He is good
He alone is God
He is ruler and sovereign
He has and is doing great things
and His true love never ends
