Have any you ever been caught unaware of something. Have you ever been blindsided? Have you ever faced something that completely came out of nowhere? It is not a very nice feeling. I remember I had an experience many years ago when In school. I was taking the class Anatomy and Physiology. I had done well on my first few exams, and I felt like I had a handle on the class. The 3rd test was a long ways off, and there would be sufficient time to study for it.

I decided to chill a bit. I stopped reading the Book after class, I stopped doing some of the homework. I began to watch a lot more TV, than I should have, I started to get engrossed in certain video games. I reasoned that a week before the test or so I would straighten up and fly right, do my job of cramming, and get a good grade. But As I started to dip furthur and furthur into fun and games, I truly started to lose perspective. And eventually I started to miss class. I became distant from the what was going on in the course. I stopped looking at the Syllabus. This was the thing that told when all the exams were coming. I started to miss class here and there. And one week, it got so bad that I decided to skip class for the whole week. I figured I had it under control I had done so well on my previous tests. Then one day I realize let me go back to class I haven’t been there in a while, and the exam is probably a few weeks off. I remember that day I walked into class the A Student I was cocky and ready to start review for exam that I believed was a few weeks off. I was ready with my notebook to take notes and be a good student. But things were a little different, I noticed that for some reason I didn’t see people with their books on the table. I said that’s odd. I turned behind me and saw someone frantically looking over their notes, and repeating the different names of the 270 bones in the human body. I started to feel a little nervous, like when you see Dark Storm Clouds forming in the Sky And then I heard the voice of my professor declare into the atmosphere, in words of doom and Dread please take everything off your desk except a pencil and get ready for your exam. At that moment I experience a sinking feeling like know other. I felt sweat start on the back of my neck. I felt Lost, I felt defeated Because the day of the exam had come, and I was not ready. I had not studied a lick. I was not prepared.. Frantically I opened up my book to see if I could somehow put something in my mind that would stick. But it was too late. Words can’t describe the feeling I felt. There is quite nothing like the it feeling like to be unprepared for a Test. I had got so caught with with having fun. that I had lost all perspective of where he were in the Semester. I ended up failing the test, because I didn't know the time.

Brothers Sister there is test coming, that is more important than any college exam. And this you can’t afford to fail. But in time when we should be prayerful preparing, many of us have been lulled to sleep by Worldly entertainments and pursuit of our own pleasure. We have lost track of the times we are living. This the concern of the apostle Paul when he through the aid of the Holy Spirit penned these inspired words

11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

I ask the question do you know times that we are living in today. Are you preparing to meet Jesus When he comes. Do you know the time you are living in. This is not the place in earth History to be clueless, to be unaware. This is not the time to chill and ease up. This not the time to get caught up!!!

Jesus said take heed lest that day catches you unawares. Lest I come and find you not ready.

Paul says no the time, so let us examine where October 14th 2017.

Jesus told us and that there would be indicators of his coming. And when they come pass, that these things are even at the doors.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Of all the Category 5 hurricane that make landfall on record in The Atlantic Since 1851

25% of them happened this year.

There is no precedent so many categeory 5 hurricanes making landfall.

Frequency and Intensity - 3 Major Hurricanes passed through the same region in 3 weeks.

Residents from some Islands barley had time to assess the wreckage from one Hurricane before another bore down on them.

On Sept. 8, three storms threatened land: from left, Tropical Storm Katia, Hurricane Irma and Tropical Storm Jose, which would intensify into a hurricane.

Eric Blake, a scientist at the National Hurricane Center, tweeted, “Never seen anything like this in the modern record.”

We Elected a man Who was caught on tape openly Bragging about sexually assaulting women.

This who this nation elected to be their president.

It is a reflection of where we are morally as a nation.

Wake up RUn

Now is the time to wake up!!!

Now is the time To fight back against that is trying to lull you to sleep!!!

NOw is the time to seek A closer Walk With God!!!!

Now is the time To Declare on the Sin in your Life!!!

Now is a time to draw a line the Sand!!! And say I may have been falling away from, but through his Power I am going Walk back to him!!!!

It is time to wake up!!!

But this brings me to my next point what is this sleep, What is this sleep that God is telling us to awake from.

The Word use for sleep in the Greek is ὕπνος - From which we derive the english word Hypnosis -

Hypnosis is defined as an artificially induced trance state resembling sleep ,

People are brought to this state by fixating their mind on certain images or objects, this lulls them into sleep.

I ask the question this morning what is putting you to Sleep spiritually.

There are some of us that are being spiritually put to sleep by our fixation on Worldly entertainments

Some of these things.

What’s going to happen this week on Empire?

What’s going to happen in Power?

Often times you don’t realize that after you have watched these things you have no desire for Bible you have no desire to Pray.

Are you Being hypnotized.

Some of us are being put to sleep and hypnotized by Lit Yatchy, Cardi B, Migos, Drake, Jay Z, Beyonce

These things are sucking you dry spiritually.

.

There are some of us that have been put to spiritually been put to sleep by our focus on trying to be wealthy or just pay bills

And we overworking and pushing and have no more time for God in our lives.

Or we so focused on our financial situation that paying our bills we don’t even think bout God anymore.

Some of us are in Relationships.

You know that person is leading you away from God.

Compromise our beliefs and engage in things only married folk.

What are you focusing on that is lulling you into Spiritual sleep.

Caught up in works darkness, lulled to sleep in a place spiritual coma. CAught up in worldliness , not discerning the times

Spiritual Sleep is not somewhere we want to be, for the Bible equates it to death.

So how do you wake up from this Sleep?

Verse 12 - 14

The Bible Defines what it is to be sleep spiritually and what it means to be awake.

12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

14.Put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

To put on the Lord Jesus Christ means to be covered by his righteousness.

Confess your sins, and be cleansed.

It means to be in him. Romans Chapter 8 Tell us that to be in him, means to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

When he is dwelling in us and when we are walking with him in relationship. Through PRayer and spending time with, then we we can put off the Works of Darkness.

See without him you don’t even know what the works of Darkness are

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

He will give you the desire

And he can give you the power to put them away.

The Runs

I tell you to awake spiritually means to awake to real relationship with God.

A relationship you are seeking him.

SEek him in Prayer

Seek him Reading your Bible or Hearing

Seek him in talking to him as you go through your day.

Seek him with all of your heart.

And seek you find him.

Draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh to thee.

When you do this, You will be awake, and he Will make you REady for his coming!!!!

And now my brother REady for his coming God can use to help others.

It is only when we are alive Spiritually that God can use us Rescue And Revive others that are Spiritually Dead.

Revive those around you. Who are sleeping.

Rescue -

As pathfinder you know many young people that are going down the wrong path. You can lead them to the Lord you can make a difference. You can make a difference than any Pastor ever. Show them the Path lead them down it.

ANd when you this you will be doing what other Pathfinders have done before you.

Moses was pathfinder - He showed his people a Path out of Egypt

David was a Pathfinder - He showed his people the Path to Courage.

Elijah was Pathfinder - He showed his people the Path back to Worship of True God.

Daniel was Pathfinder - He showed Nebuchadnezzar the Path towards The 4th Man in the Fiery Furnace.

Peter was Pathfinder - He showed us the that even if you're a little crazy God can still use you.

Paul was a Pathfinder - He showed us that no matter how far you went in the Wrong direction!!!! God can Turn you around!!!!!

For he is Able to save To the uttermost those that come

Jesus is the Pathfinder - For he has Shown us the way to Everlasting Life.

Jesus wants you To Arise from Spiritual sleep , Rescue those that are on wrong path , Revive those that have fallen asleep,

for he has redeemed them through his blood.

Jesus is asking you to do something that he didn’t do.

He Arose from the Dead on Sunday

He Rescues those that are on the wrong Path

He Revives through his Spirit those that Are Spiritually Dead

So we can Sing Redeem How I love to proclaim it. Redeemed by the Blood the Lamb.

Redeemed through his infinite Mercy his Child forever I am.

Somebody Praise him for this Morning for the Blood!!!

Praise him, that he can life to those that were Spiritually Dead!!!

And I just wanted you to know time.

Because our salvation is now nearer than when we first believed.

Lift up The Trumpet!!! And Loud let it Ring Jesus is coming Again!!!

In Christ Jesus you will pass this the Test

IN Christ Jesus you will be ready for him when he comes

And he is coming to bring you to place

Where there will be no more Death of loved ones

No more Bills

No more Bullies

No more bedtime , for their is no night there.

No more Boring HomeWork Assignments.

No more Cancer

No more More Pain

No More Sadness
