One of your greatest needs in life is to feel valuable, that your life matters, that you’re worthwhile, that you have significance, that you have value in your life.

In Our Society we typically base our Self Worth on Four Things

By Appearance.

By Achievement.

By Approval.

By Affluence.

The Greatest Changes in our lives take place when we see ourselves as God sees us.

Luke 19:1–4 NCV
1 Jesus was going through the city of Jericho. 2 A man was there named Zacchaeus, who was a very important tax collector, and he was wealthy. 3 He wanted to see who Jesus was, but he was not able because he was too short to see above the crowd. 4 He ran ahead to a place where Jesus would come, and he climbed a sycamore tree so he could see him.

If you need to feel less confused, more confident, and more loved, You came to the right place today

The Story of Zacchaeus Gives us Three Evidences of How Much You Matter to God.

1. NO MATTER HOW INSIGNIFICANT I FEEL, JESUS NOTICES ME.

Luke 19:5 NLT
5 When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. “Zacchaeus!” he said. “Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today.”

God Knows Where You are 24 Hours per Day and He has not forgotten you.

Luke 12:6–7 The Message
6 “What’s the price of two or three pet canaries? Some loose change, right? But God never overlooks a single one. 7 And he pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail—even numbering the hairs on your head! So don’t be intimidated by all this bully talk. You’re worth more than a million canaries.

2. NO MATTER WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT ME, JESUS AFFIRMS ME.

Luke 19:5 NLT
5 When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. “Zacchaeus!” he said. “Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today.”

God not only notices where you are- He knows who you are!

Ephesians 2:10 NLT
10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Psalm 27:10 NLT
10 Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close.

Even when others call you names, Jesus calls you by your name.

3. NO MATTER WHAT I’VE DONE, JESUS WANTS ME.

Luke 19:5 NLT
5 When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. “Zacchaeus!” he said. “Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today.”
Luke 19:7 NCV
7 All the people saw this and began to complain, “Jesus is staying with a sinner!”

Many of you have done a lot of things you’re ashamed of, but Jesus is more interested in changing you than condemning you.

John 6:37 NLT
37 However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.

No Matter what you have Done, You never lose your value to God.

How Should I Respond to Jesus?

Luke 19:6 NASB95
6 And he hurried and came down and received Him gladly.

The Result in Zacchaeus was Immediate

Luke 19:8–9 NCV
8 But Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “I will give half of my possessions to the poor. And if I have cheated anyone, I will pay back four times more.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Salvation has come to this house today, because this man also belongs to the family of Abraham.
