Jesus Is In the House!
Jesus Is In the House!
Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
Introduction
What would it have been like to live with Jesus? It appears to me that the twelve were comfortable around him. Jesus was the Son of God, but to His chosen followers, He was a Rabbi, a Teacher, a Healer and a Friend.
Sitting around the table or campfire, what would it have been like to be around Him? In awe? Did they consider Him just another rabbi?
How hard would it have been to be around someone that was perfect? He never sinned. Would it have been awkward?
What would it have been like to have been in His presence when He healed someone?
What was it like when He turned the water into wine.
How would they feel when Jesus turned over the moneychanger’s tables in the Temple? “High 5’s or Oh No’s”
When they were afraid for their lives upon the Sea of Galilee, what must the experience have been when Jesus shouted to the storm, “Peace. Be still.”
Today I want to look at what took place when Jesus was “In the House” and what the experience must have been.
