Faith Comes and Faith Moves

, ,

Romans 10:12–17 GW
There is no difference between Jews and Greeks. They all have the same Lord, who gives his riches to everyone who prays to him. So then, “Whoever prays in the name of the Lord will be saved.” But how can people pray to him if they have not believed in him? How can they believe in him if they have not heard his message? How can they hear if no one tells ⌊the Good News⌋? How can people tell the Good News if no one sends them? As Scripture says, “How beautiful are the feet of the messengers who announce the Good News.” But not everyone has believed the Good News. Isaiah asks, “Lord, who has believed our message?” So faith comes from hearing the message, and the message that is heard is what Christ spoke.
Galatians 3:22–26 KJV 1900
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Faith Comes… Always! Regardless of feelings etc.

II. The God kind of faith comes to whosoever will ().

Mark 11:23 GW
I can guarantee this truth: This is what will be done for someone who doesn’t doubt but believes what he says will happen: He can say to this mountain, ‘Be uprooted and thrown into the sea,’ and it will be done for him.

A. , The measure of faith.

Romans 12:3 KJV 1900
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

B. , The gift of God

Ephesians 2:8 KJV 1900
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

C. , His worksmanship

Ephesians 2:10 KJV 1900
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

D. , All men have not faith, only the reborn.

2 Thessalonians 3:2 KJV 1900
And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

III. Faith grows out of the Word, not by praying for it.

A. Prayer does not cause faith to work; faith causes prayer to work.

B. Why pray for something you already have?

Grace makes it available and faith brings the thing to be-

Grace is God's part, faith is your positive response to God's grace

Faith only takes possession to what God has already provided. Grace makes n faith takes

IV. Faith moves; it is a tangible spiritual force (, )

Hebrews 11:1 KJV 1900
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

V. Faith should never be allowed to stand still. Faith will never remain static-it will either strengthen or weaken.
