Stupid Rich in God's Blessings

- Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. (KJV)
To get on the plan of being Stupid Rich in God's Blessings, you must DO not just HEAR.
- …be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only…
Christians usually fall into one of two categories: They either use their Christianity as an excuse to not be financially successful… or, They don’t understand the principles for becoming financially successful. (And oftentimes are unwilling to learn them)
What is the definition of being stupid rich? It differs from person to person, so you have to ask yourself “What dollar amount is being rich financially to you?” ($100,000, 500,000, 1,000,000, 5,000,000 etc…)???
My next question is this? If I had $1,000,000 in cash to give to you, would you allow me to give it to you???
If you said no, you might be stupid rich minus the rich… If you said yes, then you have just established something that you can’t hide from anymore… YOU WANT TO BE STUPID RICH IN GOD’S BLESSINGS… or at least financially prosperous, which is a more proper way of saying it, but I really don’t care to be proper this morning. Now that we all know that we want to be Stupid Rich in God's Blessings, here is the most important question of all.
, here is the most important question of all.
Why do you want to be Stupid Rich in God's Blessings? (Think about this and let’s go around the room and say your name and answer.)
I want to tell you about a financial measurement that people use to measure individual financial success; it’s called net worth. (Don’t ever think that making $100,000 dollars per year will automatically make you rich. You can go through that kind of money every year and after 20 years still be as poor as Mike Tyson.)
? (Think about this and let’s go around the room and say your name and answer.)

Living Stupid Rich in God's Blessings

This is difficult because most people ignore (KJV 1900)
35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
This results us not being in (KJV 1900)
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Here’s what happens over time. As we make more money we spend more money. So we never have enough to give.
Most of us live from paycheck to paycheck it, a crisis which will result if we don’t get a paycheck on time! What does it mean? It’s simply means we are living beyond our means!
The early church could give to the work of God generously because they had lands and other possessions. (KJV 1900)
34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, 35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
What about us? $500 in and $501 out!
Any shortfall, we rob God. When this happens, a curses let loose on our finances and we go through a vicious cycle.
So my suggestion is a plan were each of us will spend only 75 to 80% of our net income.
How can we do this?
By the two scriptures we read. &
How do we do this from where we are currently?
The answer is that we must start to downsize. You must live below your means!
When you get an increase don’t increase your spending.
Quit buying things that you don’t absolutely need.
Ladies, do you absolutely need that new dress or you simply trying to keep up with the Joneses?
Man, do you absolutely need that new suit, shoes, video games, PlayStation eight?
If it is not absolutely necessary leave it alone! Use that extra money to support the work of God.
If you’re young and you’re not married it’s OK to live in your parents house, as long as they want you there. Don’t go out and find an apartment as soon as you get 18 years old! Ask people that have tried it, it’s the worst financial decision anyone can make.
You don’t need a fancy car, you need a car that is in your means. Don’t buy new car, search diligently for a used car. Don’t limit yourself to one year make and model, be open to what God puts in front of your eyes.
Start tithing faithfully 10% of the gross. Don’t get a paycheck for $800 and take out $600 in expenses and only tithe on $200. When you get a paycheck for $800 that is the gross income that is what you tithe 10% on, so your tithe check to God is $80.
(KJV 1900)
8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me.
But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee?
In tithes and offerings.
9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me,
Even this whole nation.
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be meat in mine house,
And prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts,
If I will not open you the windows of heaven,
And pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,
And he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground;
Neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.
12 And all nations shall call you blessed:
For ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.
Lastly, start to faithfully give offerings. Do it on a consistent basis. After you get your budget together and you know what’s left over every month after expenses tithes etc. you take a portion of what’s left over and give that as an offering.
