I’m Next in Line

Matthew 8:1–4 KJV 1900
When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
Here in our text we have the story of Jesus healing a leper. Before we look at the actual story we must look at the events leading up this moment. First all Jesus is at the top of the Mount giving his first sermon. This is only after coming out of fasting for 40 days and 40 nights. He is at the top of the mount seated in the position of power and authority.
Let’s not get so caught up being on the mountain that we forget to be effective in the valley. (Jesus comes down.)
Do not allow your situation to cause you to be bound without any hope.
Jesus touched him! (Your next in line!)
