Reaping The Harvest

This is harvest time.

Time when the farmers reap the harvest of all their work for the year

time to bring in the rewards for all that has been planted

We all should look forward to a harvest time

What will you harvest?

Galatians 6:7–10 NKJV

7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

God is not mocked

this whole idea of harvest is His idea

He made the world and everything in it

He invented seeds and planting and growing and harvest

He could have made seeds random if He so chose

but He didn’t

He made things to reproduce “after their kind”

He established patterns - to be observed and followed

God will not be mocked

We Reap what we Sow

If we could plant tomato seeds and grow corn, then we could mock God’s plan - but we cannot

we can only reap what we sow -

even “genetically modified seeds”

Life works this way also, as we learn hear

Whatever we plant is what we will reap

So we should always plant the kind of seeds that we want to harvest at the end

Harvest is the end of the season

It is to late at harvest time to decide you wanted to grow something different

You should decide what you want to reap when the harvest of your life comes

You should also decide what you want to reap at the harvests between now and then

Galatians 6:8 NKJV

8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Sowing to satisfy our sinful nature leads to corruption

only sowing to please ourselves will lead to corruption

Sowing to please God will lead to everlasting life

Who wants everlasting life?

What are you sowing today?

Plant what you want to grow

Want a lot, plant a lot

Galatians 6:9 NKJV

9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Don’t get tired of doing good

When the right time comes, you will reap what you sowed

when the right time comes you will see who reaps what ()

If you sow what is good, you won’t be disappointed

If you don’t give up.

So do good, plant good and expect to reap good

and especially help those who are following God with you
