· Who gets the credit for making children?
3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
· Is “having a baby” cut God out of the equation? ; ,
31 When the Lord saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb, but Rachel was barren.
2 Jacob’s anger was kindled against Rachel, and he said, “Am I in the place of God, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?”
22 Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb.
· At what point do children belong to God?
4 Behold, all souls are mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine: the soul who sins shall die.
· How does the placenta separate the child from the mother? What would the mother’s body do to the child if the placenta was not present? Conclusion: the child is separate from the mother from conception.
· Why do we not a the right to do what we want with our bodies,
19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
· Are we accountable for our actions,
7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.
