Introduction

Today my lesson is going to be brief, its going to be short, however that doesn’t mean its not going to be heavy! For those of you who know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior listen as you can take the from what I teach you today and witness Christ to others! If you aren’t saved then listen as this is a very crucial lesson for you to listen to as it concerns your eternity!

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

This means that you have sinned and I have sinned. Taking this further it means that everyone before you has sinned! And everyone of us who have sinned we have fallen short of the glory of God! Aka the glory of God is the very thing you needed to pass so that you could get into heaven. So you who have already failed there (which is all of you), the thing is there is no re-taking the test!

23 For the wages of sin is death,

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The unfortunate thing is this test of life that we failed has a deep penalty! And that is death. When I witness to someone I always want to clarify that this term does not mean physical death but spiritual, in that penalty of sin is lake of fire of which is considered by scripture to be eternal death! Where everyone who are marked sinners will go because they have fallen short of the glory of God.

8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

To throw someone into such a place for all eternity seem terrifying and not only terrifying but cruel! But here let me give you an example!

Hierarchy of Authority

What happens if you would slap your friend? Your friend probably would slap you back! You would deserve it!
Now go slap a stranger on a street, one who is bigger than you what’s going to happen? You might just get beat up, you assaulted the man!! Who to say that when he turns around you’re not going to stab him in the back since you were so bold to slap a random stranger!
Now go a slap a police officer.. What’s going to happen? He’s going to beat you up and arrest you! You deserved it; right? Police officer is a bit of an higher authority to offend.
Now go up to a king, slap Him in the face. What is going to happen to you then? You’re probably are going to be killed!
Now our God is infinite in everything that He is! His power, His wrath, and His life. He is all powerful over everything! Through Him all things exist! He is ruler, He is the top authority.
If you slap God in the face, what do you think is going to happen? What is the penalty? Everlasting fire...

We All Slapped God in the Face

And scripture gives that we have all slapped God in the face with our sins. It also gives that His law a sense of morality is written on our hearts. That we know enough about what is right and wrong to deserve our penalty. Mankind is utterly doomed!

Thank God

But thank God for for it doesn’t just tell us the penalty of our sin but also the salvation that saves us from that penalty!

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
How?
God sent His One and only Son into this World that He would live a perfect life, take all our sin upon His shoulders, and then pay the penalty for our sin and then on the third day He rose from the dead!

Infinite God Payment

Now being infinite God, Christ doesn’t have to pay by going to Hell for all eternity. But being that He is infinite God He can the infinite price in full!

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

3 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

So Here’s The Question...

So Here’s The Question...

The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2016). (). Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles. So Here’s The Question...
Are you saved? Have you made Christ your Lord?
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Everyone Close Your Eyes and Bow Your Head

The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2016). (). Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles.
My eyes will remain open. Have you truly made Christ your Lord when I say Lord, I’m not just saying that title like it’s another name for Jesus! I saying Lord for it is! Is Christ the Master, the Boss of Your life? Do you follow Him? Do you really follow Him? If you haven’t been following Him ask yourself these two questions: Is it you are saved and are just being disobedient to Him or is it because you never truly given your life to Him? If its last one no matter who you are, you are in trouble and in danger of the very fires of Hell. I say that not to scare but bring you to the reality that you need to be saved. God in His grace by giving you His Son to die a death that that you and I deserved so that you and I could be saved. He loves you and wants to have a relationship with you, but in order to do that you have to be saved by repenting of your sins, believing in Christ and everything scripture says about Him, and finally make Christ your Lord.
Listen if you want to do that let me lead you in that decision! But before I do I want to make sure you understand, that the words themselves have no power to save you. You can’t say bibidy bobidy doo and your saved! It doesn’t work that way you must say these words and mean them. It’s only when you make a true sincere decision to make Christ your Lord it is then Christ saves you!

The Prayer

Dear, Lord I know that I have sinned! That I have fallen short of Your glory. I know what that means. I know I must be saved. I believe that you sent your Son to die for me and on the third day you rose him from the dead! So from this day onward I turn from my sins, “Jesus” I make you my Lord, I give you my life to have, and I will follow you for the rest of my life truly! So, Lord I’m calling out for you to save me! Lord thank you for saving me! Please from this moment onward protect and help me live a life that worthy and honoring of you!
