What is a key sign of a false prophet?
They lack the capacity to preach the full gospel which contains the law and the need for repentance.
In the Bible tells us that Paul sought to persuade his hearers “concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets.”
Here are two effective means of persuading the unsaved “concerning Jesus.”
We will take a look at what the Apostle Paul and Jesus both had to say regarding the law.
The Gospel cannot be presented apart from the divine Law of the Ten Commandments.
The law is the key to successfully preaching the gospel.
Without it you are creating a man made gospel lacking the authority and conviction of the true Gospel.
Failure to do so will result in FALSE converts that have not truly repented of their sins.
First let’s look at a man made gospel that fills pews but denies the key.
A primary example is Rick Warrens gospel that just asks you to “accept” Christ without repentance.
This is an add on Jesus and not the true Gospel.
Rick Warren in his self proclaimed book : The Purpose Driven Life proclaims that a person can be saved by simply saying this statement.
“Jesus, I believe in you and I receive you.” page 58

Confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior
Failure to do so will result in FALSE converts that have not truly repented of their sins.
What Warren is doing is very similar to what the Pharisees did in Jesus’ day.
A primary example is Rick Warrens gospel that just asks you to “accept” Christ without repentance.
Jesus told them in Luke 11:52:
This is an add on Jesus and not the true Gospel.
“Woe to you lawyers!
For you have taken away the key of knowledge.
You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered.”
He was speaking to lawyers—those who should have been teaching God’s Law so that sinners would receive the “knowledge of sin,” and thus recognize their need of the Savior.

What is this Key of Knowledge?
The Gospel cannot be presented apart from the divine Law of the Ten Commandments.
It is the application of God’s divine law to all non-believers and sinners thereby allowing the Holy Spirit to convict those who have heard the true gospel!
This is what leads to true repentance and real conversions.
Failure to do so will result in FALSE converts that have not truly repented of their sins.
A primary example is Rick Warrens gospel that just asks you to “accept” Christ without repentance.
Paul persuaded sinners concerning Jesus “out of the law of Moses.”
The Bible tells us that the Law of Moses is good if it is used lawfully ().
This is an add on Jesus and not the true Gospel.
For what purpose was God’s Law designed?

good if it is used lawfully ().
The Gospel cannot be presented apart from the divine Law of the Ten Commandments.
The following verses tell us:
“The Law is not made for a righteous person, but...for sinners” (,).
It even lists the sinners for us: the disobedient, the ungodly, murderers, fornicators, homosexuals, kidnappers, liars, etc.
Failure to do so will result in FALSE converts that have not truly repented of their sins.

The Bible says in , “The law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul.”
The Gospel cannot be presented apart from the divine Law of the Ten Commandments.
To illustrate the function of God’s Law, let’s look for a moment at civil law.
Failure to do so will result in FALSE converts that have not truly repented of their sins.
Imagine if I said to you, “I’ve got some good news for you: someone has just paid a $25,000 speeding fine on your behalf.”
You’d probably react by saying, “What are you talking about?
That’s not good news—it doesn’t make sense.
I don’t have a $25,000 speeding fine.”
My good news wouldn’t be good news to you; it would seem foolishness.
But more than that, it would be offensive to you, because I’m insinuating you’ve broken the law when you don’t think you have.
A primary example is Rick Warrens gospel that just asks you to “accept” Christ without repentance.
This is an add on Jesus and not the true Gospel.
Firstly you would say “I haven’t broken any laws!” and then you would shortly dismiss the action.
Now imagine
3 Judah begot Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez begot Hezron, and Hezron begot Ram.
The New King James Version.

However, if I put it this way, it may make more sense: “While you were out today, the law clocked you going 55 miles an hour through an area set aside for a blind children’s convention.
There were ten clear warning signs stating that fifteen miles an hour was the maximum speed, but you went straight through at 55 miles an hour.
What you did was extremely dangerous; there’s a $25,000 fine.
The law was about to take its course, when someone you don’t even know stepped in and paid the fine for you.
You are very fortunate.”
Can you see that telling you precisely what you’ve done wrong first actually enables the good news to make sense?
If I don’t clearly bring understanding that you’ve violated the law, then the good news will seem foolishness and offensive.
But once you understand that you’ve broken the law, then that good news will become good news indeed.
The Gospel cannot be presented apart from the divine Law of the Ten Commandments.
Failure to do so will result in FALSE converts that have not truly repented of their sins.
In the same way, if I approach an potential sinner and say, “Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins,” it will be foolishness and offensive to him.
It will be foolishness because it won’t make sense.
