Hebrews talks of the Rest that comes through Christ, (ESV) So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, 10 for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
Jesus is our Sustainer and the One who Satisfies
He has compassion on the tired and weary, “as sheep having no shepherd.”
He fed them spiritually and took care of their physical need.
They ate and were satisfied.
Jesus is our Strength
He sent them - and then went to pray.
He saw them straining.
He came to them (and would have passed by).
He called to them - “Be of good cheer (take courage), it is I, don’t be afraid.”
What we see as over our head is already under his feet.
Where Jesus is there is peace, imagine the quiet rowing that occurred afterward.
