Wrath

Ephesians 4:26 KJV 1900
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
Eoh 4 26
“Risaao, tara paap nagara; Ghaam astaaunu-bhandaa pahilyai timiharuko ris maros.
What is this?
Here we have a command to be angry
A command to be angry
We often think that anger is a bad thin
We know that anger is not enjoyable(ramaailo) when we receive it.
“Risaao, tara paap nagara; Ghaam astaaunu-bhandaa pahilyai timiharuko ris maros. We know that anger is not enjoyable(ramaailo) when we receive it.But we also know that God can be angry. And God does no sin!
We know that anger is not enjoyable(ramaailo) when we receive it.
We know that anger is not fun(ramaailo)
When Mother/Father is angry
When Pastor is angry
When boss is angry
When policeman is angry
When God is angry
We know that anger is not fun(ramaailo)
But anger can be a good thing
Pastor should be angry about sin
Boss should be angry about lazy people
Parents should be angry about disobedience(awaagyaapaalan)
Policeman should be angry about thievery(chori), murder(hatyaa)
God should be angry about sin
And he is
Psalm 7:11 KJV 1900
God judgeth the righteous, And God is angry with the wicked every day.
“Parameswar dharmi janako nyaaya garnuhunchha; Ani dinahu Parameswar dushTasit krodhit hunuhunchha”
This can seem wrong, but it is not.
What is God’s primary attribute(bisheshtaa, guun)?
His holiness!
When we understand his holiness
We understand his hatred of sin
We understand his anger of sin
We understand our offense/crime(aparaadh)
That our sin has hurt our relationship with God
That our need for salvation is great!
Anger can be a good thing
Anger is passion(josh) and energy(shakti/Urjaa)
That anger can help us to fight sin
Can show that something is serious
Can convince(samjhaaunu) others to do right
Sometimes without anger...
We lack the motivation to do what is needed
Anger can help us to change ourselves
David and Nathan in
Story-(kathaa)
“Tyo maanis tapaai nai hunuhunchha!”
Football coach - I don’t think...
Anger can help us to change others
Jesus in the temple in
Stopped their wickedness(dushtata)
Jesus on the Sabbath
Showed them their wrong priorities(praathamiktaa-haru)
Taught them
Anger can drive(dhakelnu)/push us to solve problems
-------------------------------------------------------------
What is good anger?
Righteous anger?
How do we recognize good anger?

Right fruit

Every time we see good anger in the Bible
There is good fruit
Righteous anger is to solve problems
Not create problems
For moving people toward righteousness(dharmikta)
For moving people toward righteousness(dharmikta)
Toward close relationship with God
Not toward sin
For helping people grow in Christ
Not hurting people
Not cursing
For honoring the Lord
Not for hurting his testimony
Not for hurting the work of the church/the gospel
1 Corinthians 10:31 KJV 1900
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
“Yaskaaran chaahe timiharu khaao, chaahe pio, chaahe timiharu jemukai gara, sabai kuraa Parameswarkai mahimaakaa nimti gara.”
All should honor the Lord
Even our anger
We judge by fruit
But the fruit shows the heart
Matthew 7:16–20 KJV 1900
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
“Tiniharukai phalharuduaaraa timiharule tiniharulaai chinnechhaau...”
The fruit shows the source(srot, mul)

Right Source

Good anger is born of the Holy spirit
Not the flesh
Good anger comes from care for others
Not selfishness or pride
Good anger comes because of truth
Not feelings(bhaawanaa) whim(taranga)
Emotional(bhaabuk)
Good anger needs the right fruit
but also the right seed
When our anger is born of emotion(bhaawanaa) and the flesh
It is uncontrolled(aniyantrit)
It will hurt others(dukhaaunu)
It will hurt ourselves
It will bring sin and destruction(naash)
When anger is born of truth and of the spirit
There are limitations(antaravaasan-haru)
There are boundaries(seemaa-haru)
There are fences(chhek-baar-haru)
This passage gives us one boundary right here.
It should not stay with us long
It should not remain till the next day
Our anger should not come quickly
Prov
Proverbs 15:18 KJV 1900
A wrathful man stirreth up strife: But he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
“Krodhi maanchele jhagaDaa machchyaauchha; Tara jo risaaunumaa dilo chha, usle jhagaDaa shaanta paarchha.
When anger comes from the right source(srot)
In the right way(tarikaa)
Then it remains directed(sanchaalit)
Then it remains focused on the right things
Jesus didn’t continue to destroy everything he saw all day
His anger had the right source
and it was directed toward sin
Just a few verses later - many miracles(aschaarya-haru)
----------------------------------------------
Be angry -Risaao
But it should be good anger
Holy anger
From the right source
Bearing the right fruit
Anger at injustice is appropriate
This is not selfishness
Do not focus on yourself
Focus on the sin
This is anger at sin
But we also know that God can be angry.
And God does no sin!
Psalm 103:8 KJV 1900
The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
KJV 1900The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

So what is righteous anger?

Anger that is not sin.

We don’t like to receive the anger of others
It is not fun
Does not go against the Bible
But all anger is not sin
Because God can be angry and does not sin
2 Timothy 2:13 KJV 1900
If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
(
Sin is going against God
He cannot go against himself
James 1:13 KJV 1900
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

Anger that does not go against the Bible

Is not unkind
Not corrupt communication
Does not hinder the message and work of Christ
What does it look like? What reasons?
Righteous anger is being angry like God is angry.
Same reasons.(not of flesh)
Same manner(tarika)
Let’s look at God’s anger:God is not fundamentally(mulataah) angry. He is fundamentally(mulataah) righteous(dharmik) and holy. God’s anger comes because of his supreme righteousness(dharmikataa).Because people directly oppose him in sin.
Psalm 7:11 KJV 1900
God judgeth the righteous, And God is angry with the wicked every day.
Our anger should not come from our flesh,
but from our love of righteousness
Because of truth,
Not emotion(bhaawanaa) or feelings
When our anger and wrath is driven by truth, example of God’s anger, does not cause sin
There is no problem
When our anger is out of control
Driven by the flesh/fear/emotion
Righteous anger is controlled(nitantran garinchha) by love
Righteous anger is slow.
It does not come easily
We do not jump into it
But when the wrath continues long, it is driving us!
It is out of controlThis is sinThis is not of GodThis allows the devil control
Ephesians 4:27 KJV 1900
Neither give place to the devil.
KJV 1900Neither give place to the devil.

KJV 1900Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
We know this, but it is an important reminderMany people think that stealing is ok if they are sneaky(chhali) This passage, like the others, shows the opposite of stealingWorking, helping, earning, and givingThis is God’s plan for usOutside of this plan, you are dangerously close to stealing This also tells us more about stealingLaziness is a way of stealing Gambling is a way of stealingWhen you win, someone losesYou are taking from them without giving something good in returnStealing

Corrupt communication

KJV 1900Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
