Intro
Going into the grocery store as a kid/parent.
The conversation beforehand.
“Do not touch anything.”
“You know my expectations.”
WE ARE THERE FOR SUSTENANCE, NOT SNACKS.
Just like children and parents going into a grocery store we as a body have a purpose.
It is pleasing to us to have what we want.
But in doing so we run the risk of shaming the Gospel.
We run the risk of ruining that which is to give us spiritual sustenance.
We MUST know who we are.
Who Are You?
Who You Should Be.
to be forgiven ⇔ be washed v. — to be or become forgiven, conceived of as having one’s sins washed away.
to be sanctified v. — to be or become as dedicated to God; either in distinction, in devotion, or in moral purity.
to be justified v. — to be or become judicially vindicated as having complied with the requirements of the law (of God).
Conclusion
We are called to be different than the world.
Our dealings with one another should look differently.
Those who know ought to teach.
Those who do not ought to listen.
Those who belong to God ought to be obedient.
Who do you say that you are?
What do your actions say about you?
